Real ammo that makes enough boom gets satellite tracked. At least when ordering. I tracked everything in Iraq that wasnt TAMIS or SOF account. Real grenades would have been tracked I think. Even during a lateral transfer. Soulex fucked around with this message at 06:33 on May 13, 2018 |

Det cord eater had me thinking of one of the most darwin awards ever. Three fresh graduates from an electrical engineer college in.. Cambodia I think, celebrate getting their papers with getting super hosed up on rice wine, when they come upon a thick, deglowed half of a power cable sticking out of a substation window. One of them is adamant that it is in fact dead and carries no current, but the others tell him that yes, it is in fact a live cable and they shouldn't gently caress with it in their drenched state of empowerment. Dude one insists and they go back and forth for a while, before he gets mad, yells "I'll prove to you that there's no current" and bites the exposed copper - whereupon an electric puls jolts into his skull, melting his entire jaw off and killing him instantly

If you commit a crime in the military but its not discovered until years later after you've gotten out what happens? Are you still subject to the UCMJ or do they have to find a federal law to charge you with as a civilian?

However, retirees are still subject to the UCMJ. Depending on how many years and what crime, the applicable statue of limitation (how long authorities have to charge a person with s crime) may have expired, and nobody can charge you. Under the UCMJ, it's 5 years, unless it's s UA or missing movement in time of war or a crime of punishable by death, then it never expires. It's generally 5 years for the Feds too, but with a ton of exceptions. States are a total grab bag.

When I was about to leave bootcamp there was a kid there with thick rear end dreads that I guess they couldn't figure out how to cut with clippers so this guy walking around with a massive amount of dreads and his cover just sitting on top a good half foot off his head. I don't know what happened but I bet he hated life for a few days. I mean bootcamp stories are dumb but seeing a dude walking around in uniform with dreadlocks was pretty funny

bulletsponge13 posted:Is there a statute of limitations on war crimes? Not crimes against humanity, or My Lai, but lesser poo poo. There is a UN convention that says there is no SOL for war crimes or crimes against humanity, but the US didn't sign it, so it doesn't apply to the US Under the UCMJ, there is no SOL for murder or rape and most crimes against children have a SOL of the life of the child +5 years. Otherwise, it's 5 years with several 'time of war' caveats that could extend it. Federal law has a specific war crimes statute but unless it results in death the SOL is 5 years. If the war crime results in death, it is punishable by death, so no SOL in a case like that. If by lesser poo poo you mean something less than rape or murder, the statue of limitations is 5 years. joat mon fucked around with this message at 16:16 on May 25, 2018 |
