Nostalgia4Ass posted:Playing Hyrule Warriors again but this time on my Switch. I know I should dislike the shallow repetitive gameplay but I don't. I have lots of fun killing thousands of super weak enemies with my overpowered combos over and over again. Planning on picking it up for my upcoming trip.

Got a copy and should be cracking it open tonight with the gf. Seems like a pretty fun mindless hack n slash and fixes a lot of issues the wii-u one had (Mostly one player having to be on the tablet) kinda dumb a 3rd version has a MSRP price at $60 but ces’t la vie. Prime pre-order discount is cool

I have a stereo receiver that has 4k but not HDR. I started god of war playing through that. I decided to hook the ps4 up directly to the tv to get HDR and holy loving poo poo.

I haven't played it yet but I would have bet anything that the new GoW was going to be average at best. It's always pretty cool when a game exceeds expectations and end up bringing so much joy to so many people, and all without resorting to gambling and other gimmicks that have been plaguing games as of late.

I'm wrapping up Assassin's Creed Origins and holy poo poo, I really hope Ubisoft takes away the lesson that they don't need to release an AC game annually. This game is much better than I ever expected it to be, like AC2 levels of good. Also the story was/is much better this time around.

God of War is even more impressive when you consider that the entire game is one single shot with no camera breaks. i just got to the part where his son passes out and now I have to return home because my axe won’t work. Just finished God of War. I’ll give it a solid 8/10. It would get higher marks but it feels like they left a lot of content out on the table. A bit of back tracking as a result to fill the time. But still an amazing game. Highly recommend it. I hope Kratos shows up in a marvel movie.

Gamers are incredibly stingy on a whole. My favorite is people giving 3/5 stars on a game because they felt it should be 20 dollars vs. 25 or something similar.

I saw some comparison pictures and maybe they were just bad pictures but I didn’t really notice much of a difference. It still has heavy frame drops in some areas of the world.

Dark Souls Pros: -Engine got some spit and polish. Overall looks good. -Runs very well, natively supports 34" which looks beautiful -PC friendly this time around. K+M users can jump right in with no tweaking -Supports borderless right out of the box Cons: -You can see the age of the game here and there. It's more like greying sideburns or a stray wrinkle though.

One more thing and I'll stop. I noticed in the hub area you can hear something that I don't recall in DS1: the upper bell tolling. The timing is kinda random but I think it's ringing the bell for me when other players do it.

Yeah I feel that. Maybe some of the problems people are reporting (like the hacking) are things I've accepted as just part of the series.
