When discussions of IQ come up, there are inevitably a small but vocal minority of Freepers that will pull flat-out Stormfront and Bell Curve arguments that black people are inherently not as smart as white people and that's a fact of life, and that the PC police conspire to cover it up. The majority of Freep is more (relatively) passive/casual racists, more on the lines of "if a black man is willing to pull up his pants, speak proper English and get a good job, he's fine by me" or "if a Mexican is willing to learn English, brings marketable job skills, and fills out the proper paperwork before arriving, they're welcome here."

The exact same hopelessness, crushing poverty, and inability to have a guiding parent* that so hard beat down the lower class is now gaining steam on the middle class and this is the result. And I know you disagree, I know, thank you, I'm sure your theory was formed through thought and honest research. But please don't use that as an excuse to treat me as anything less than a human worthy of respect. I did not appreciate that. *this is not to say that a child needs two, or even one full time parent, all I'm saying is that being a "part-time" parent, no judgement, is extra EXTRA work and I've not seen a shooter yet who didn't have "long stretches of alone time in their room" in the first paragraph.

I think tech plays a factor in this too. Not to go all old and poo poo, but when I was a kid when you had free time you were out having fun with friends. Now kids spend more time playing on their own with phones and computers and poo poo. There's no real stress relief for kids to dump all their anxiety/rage into
