I rebought that the moment it came out on Playstation 3 years back, and I think it was free for android one day but I didn't care for the controls on a phone. I loved when in Marvel Heroes when they reworked the powers and added one for Colossus, they used a sound effect from the arcade game. Truly a classic co-op on par with the Simpsons and almost TMNT.

Oh my god please tell me they made it his HWOAAAAARGH that overpowers every other sound in an arcade to the point where most arcades I've been in straight-up have the sound turned off on X-Men

e: like, playing X-Men in silence kinda sucks but playing anything else with X-Men turned up sucks more because of the constant HWOAAAAARGH

America's $1 Funnyman

A friend of mine helped get Revolution X in a local arcade, and they lowered the volume on that really quick. I myself could go for any amount of Colossus HWOAAAAARGH, it's beautiful.

And speaking of that game, reminds me of Pryde of the X-Men. As fun as that is, and I love 80s cartoons, I'm sure glad that didn't get picked up, and we got the 1992 X-Men series. It's funny, Pryde felt more like a cartoon from 85, while being from 89, and it's wild how much presentation and style had changed by 92. Though having that cast from the great comics run is cool. Was great to see Colossus in those cameo roles in the 92 series, always need more of that guy.

And he's having a bit of a renaissance on the big screen at the moment. Always label items in the refrigerator...

I saw Pryde of the X-Men at 6AM the first and only time it ever aired here. It was YEARS before I actually accepted it was a thing that I actually saw instead of something I dreamed. I inherited my friend's dad's comics when we cleaned his attic and I was the one that got "stuck" with all the "X-Men and marvel crap" because everyone else wanted the DC stuff since it was the summer of '89 Batman. Joke is on them since I ended up with X-Men 100-112 and Iron Man 85 through about 100.

Pryde of the X-Men was an exercise in cognitive dissonance for me because all the X-Men were actually members of Cobra in disguise. The only one I remember is that Colossus was Destro. That was like, 25 years ago though, but that's how I remember it.

Cyclops was Flint, though. Or maybe Duke. One of the two.

This is hilarious if you imagine it just being her canon voice during, say, Morrison's New X-Men.

Yes except in the comfort of my own home.

Also, still have my VHS of Pryde of the X-Men.

I always had the Emma voice from Wolverine and the X-Men as the canonical Emma voice. Though its an affectation, as she really has a super strong Southie accent.

Her solo series apparently made it that she has a real British accent because she had some kind of psychic battle with a British classmate and absorbed parts of her mind.

She's not from South Boston, man. Her native accent is very probably closer to the old-fashioned "Boston brahmin" accent, which the Kennedys always tried to go for.

I just always had headcannon that Emma was completely manufactured, that everything about her was invented to make her seem more posh than she actually was.

Isn't that the series where she's a teenager in the actual comic? Part of Marvel's attempt to get teenage girls to buy comics? Can't imagine why no teen girls picked it up.

It was during the Bill Jemas era, so everyone knew exactly what they were thinking.

Paraphrasing from Marvel : The Untold Story, but he pretty much said “all of our fans are dateless losers, so curling up in their parent’s basement with scantily clad comic book girls is the best they could hope for”

Yet where is that woman now? Tell me, in what heave does she reside? None of them. Because no God bothered to listen or care. If that is what you think it means to be a God, then you and all your teachings are welcome to do as that poor women did. And vanish from these realms forever.

When I was 17, my father was so stupid, I didn't want to be seen with him in public. When I was 24, I was amazed at how much the old man had learned in just 7 years.
The Swimsuit special may have been a crash grab from the hormonal but the concept of just a simple art book was kind of cool.
