Tor doesn't have backdoors. It was made by naval research to help hide spie's internet traffic: but if spies were the only ones to use it, you could spot then easily. So the US started giving the tech away, in a very obvious gift to black marketers, so that those petty criminals + the spies would be on the same network, so that the latter could hide among the former.

almost assuredly yes. its absolutely trivial to set up exit nodes and with proper saturation level the level of security afforded to tor users is pretty much placebo
