So I'm reading this book about a few Brits exploring Australia around 1850 and they come across a burnt eucalyptus tree. Their guide comments that the natives have a nasty habit of setting these trees on fire and due to the careless aborigines the eucalyptus will soon go extinct. How did that work out?
