If you don't know what you are doing, there's a handy guide for each class leveling to 70 at Icy-Veins. I'll be following the Crusader, found here https://www.icy-veins.com/d3/crusader-leveling-and-fresh-70-guide-patch-2-6-1-season-14 Remember to to the challenge rift and then gamble the appropriate level 1 piece. Crusaders should be gambling shields, monks are boots, most classes with an offhand want to gamble the offhand.

What's a good build for doing the solo 20 grift as crusader? Akkhan set doesn't really buff damage before the 6th piece.

So, apparently my problem with the CR was trying to figure out what the hell I was doing instead of just randomly mashing skill buttons and hoping for the best.  E: aaand I got zip from Kedala. Figures.

I gambled for bracers on my barb after doing the CR. Got 0 legendaries after spending all my blood. Then, within the first 10 minutes of playing I got two separate double blood goblin spawns. So I figure I missed it from the CR but I'll get it now. Nope, nada. By the time I got to 70 I had maxed out my blood again and went for a third attempt. I still didn't get the bracers, but the first legendary that Kadala did give me were a pair of ancient Strongarms.... and then multiple Lacunis. I even tried to upgrade a rare to get them when going through the season journey and nothing. I feel like this will set the ton for the rest of the season far too accurately.

I didn't get poo poo starting the season either, but it was more or less fine.  We hit some gob collectors and I got cain and born's sets so we had crazy exp bonus all the way to 70.

Etched Sigil + Manald Heal + Deathwish really powered me through the first four chapters of the season journey (lucky drops!), it's a shame they don't synergize at all with the starter Wizard set this season

Sucks when it's season start I got the Barb bracers and some generic legendary shoulders but they were level 16, I thought they would be level 1? Did I screw up, like I should've lowered the difficulty or something?

The way level 1 gambling works is that therr are no legendaries that match your drop table because you are too low level. Instead of jusy shafting you though, the game moves up the loot table list until it hits the first legendary in front of you and drops that one instead. So if you look at the loot table and that one legendary that you need is ilvl 16 and the closest legendary to that one is in the 30s or something, then you can rig the odds in your favor to get that specific legendary when a roll on Kadala procs for a legebdary drop. At the end of last season leason I was routinely going 1500 shards per spending spree and got nothing but blues amd yellows. It happens sometimes and I just got the luck of the draw on the short end of it for loke a month now.
