So, for those SCCA Solo'ers in the thread, what the HELL class is a base '01 with a torsen swap, no interior carpets or sound deadening, aftermarket ARBs, intake, strut brace? SSM due to the interior missing?

I think SSM still requires an interior, Spec Miatas run in DP iirc.

That's $1000 more than I paid for my similar condition 97 without a hard top. If you can verify it's actually free of rust it seems like a pretty fair price.

Okay brake job almost done. In the sense that I'm driving it, just without the parking brake because I couldn't get bracket off either old caliper. (top left here, with the bolt sticking through it) Any ideas how to get it off? It doesn't seem to be very rusted at all but just wouldn't budge. I don't have an impact wrench which I suppose would do it. Worst case I'd just take it to a random shop on Monday and have them have a go at it. Also, after bleeding the rear, the pedal seems to travel a bit more before biting properly. Do I need to also bleed the fronts or is there something else I could adjust? It never bit immediately in the first mm of travel like in some other cars, but seems like it got a bit worse.

Update: Suspensions all sorts of hosed. Good news, it's not irreperably hosed. I need new tie rods and bushings all around. And I need to fix, uh, this. It's missing the alignment ring welded to the LCA

drat, I'm going to have to check under mine to make sure I still have the half-moons. If I do, I think I'll add a couple more tacks. e: after swapping the springs from end to end and dialing the damping all the way up, this car rides sharp as hell on track! Not breaking anything on race day has me very pleased.

Any tips for removing all my old rubber bushings on my '95? I just picked up a 20 ton hydraulic press and the energy poly master bushings kit so it shouldn't be too hard but just curious if someone else has done the job.

If any goons have a snugtop hardtop and can't find latch hardware, I've discovered who made it. Eberhard draw latches Here's a print My top was missing one hook foot thingy. Now I gotta getty side strikers for the car itself. E: mnet and their posters can be so useless. These tops have been around for 20 years and nobody could find the latch hardware. It took me 10 minutes with my wife to take off the top and another 10 to look up the word embossed upon the latches.

Something started rattling horribly on a test drive but thankfully I pulled over and tightened them before anything fell off.

Miata prices in the UK are no less retarded than his asking price tbh. I paid £2k for my 'limited edition' Icon model from 2000 after getting £500 off asking. 40k on the clock, hard top, fresh rag top, two sets of rims, private plate rust free rails and immaculate. All the classifieds for dog rough equivalents are asking £3.5-4k.
