He was buddies with all the temple of fullmoon guys like Rob Darken back in the day but popular black metal bands having skeletons in the closet isn't exactly new(see for example that one really funny early dimmu borgir interview where he says the extermination camps were good).

It's just dumb xenophobic Irish/Welsh/<disliked nation of choice> jokes reskinned to be Polish, they're never funny IMO. Usually because they're almost always punching down at immigrants or poor countries, and also forget to actually have any humour besides "people who aren't like me are stupid" Nergal might be a racist and makes bad music but he honestly comes across way better than the interviewer there.
