Wouldn't this count as a goal since the ball crossed the line? Or is the angle just funny and it didn't go in?

They'd already scored, he was going for an extra as a celebration when he whacked himself.

I don't get why soccer goal tenders even let the opposing players kick the ball back in to celebrate. In hockey it would be a potential bench clearing brawl for showing such lovely sportsmanship.

I would pay good money to see a soccer brawl. So many players rolling on the ground in agony after nearly hitting each other.

e: not to be confused with a fan brawl, of course. That poo poo is devastating.

I'd just think the goal tender would take offense to it. And you should watch hockey. Fighting is an actual part of it. I know it might not be as fun as watching people jog for 90 minutes while the crowd sings songs to keep from falling asleep, but it has it's moments.

If anything make them more dangerous. Give them a hairpin trigger that even a light breeze can set off. Make every one in twenty rounds explode in the chamber. The more kills we can get with guns the better.

Generally speaking, after a goal in football the goalkeeper is not interested in the ball, they will usually be appealing to an official or berating their back line. It's not seen as unsporting to kick the ball back into the net, usually it's only done by an opposition player when the ball happens to fall in front of them, it's rare that someone would go out of their way to do it. Also, considering the relative size of the goals there isn't much a keeper can do to stop this, wheras I imagine that is different in ice hockey.
