Truth be told, we were getting pretty bored by the end with everyone else.

A lot of the stuff we did was basic psychology. We're all goons (now), but OC_James has a name he will not give away to anyone and pretty much hates the internet. I think this was the longest he's been on the internet in about a year.

And that's it, there's no manipulation or psychology you need to be aware of. The Qultists do it all themselves, They're a hivemind. It basically doesn't matter what Q says, the hivemind converts it into whatever it currently wants.

So I reckon with some good timing it would be remarkably easy with cause a schism and pilfer off a load of followers. You'd only have to check in once a week, write some more gibberish and post it with a picture of a ceral box next to a battery and by the time you returned the week after the Qultists would have written a million words with accompanying diagrams explaining what you meant.

There has been dozens of copycats, none of them really work. Hive minds aren't real. Q works because he's telling people what they want to hear mixed with that ARG stuff that has proven popular across a bunch of stuff, it's all very stupid but it's a bunch of stuff that only works because it's building off an understanding of the world that was already very stupid. Like it's not just random, it's as the title says: pizzagate extended universe. If you tried it you'd fail for basically the same reasons you'd fail to get your painting in an art museum after looking at some impressionist piece and saying "my kid could draw this!"

While radio absorbing coatings are of course used, there will always be EM reflections at any boundary between different materials, so the shape of stealth planes is designed to reflect the incident waves out into space rather right back at the transmitter (which is what most objects do)

Yeah part of the issue with trying to imitate Q at the moment is that there's already the current Q personality, so it's going to be harder to get people to buy into store-brand Q when Q Classic exists.

You could argue though that the fact that new big conspiracies keep cropping up means that they do have a life cycle where people burn out on one and become open to attraction to a new one, and that once one gains inertia it becomes self sustaining for the course of its life.

Since we're bringing up ARGs, is anyone else familiar with Lake City Quiet Pills? I heard about it awhile back in some unsolved mysteries circles. It's on my mind since it really feels like a training run for Q. Summary is that a dude started "accidentally" posting weird codes of random letters and numbers on, I think, a sketchy porn image host/forum (so, probably stick to unsolved mystery places if you feel like researching).

Redditors went and Nostradamused a whole airport novel story about a group of mercenaries getting back together for a big party to commemorate the founder's death...which then morphed into it all being code for them doing the Assassination of Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh.

There's still a few diehards who think it's true despite some really obvious tells that it's bullshit.

My point being that there's a lot of Q types posting around the Internet. I know there are a least a few bots/people posting random number strings on Reddit. Cicada 3301 was a thing, plus a few other ARGs that kicked off and went nowhere. There are a few weird websites and social accounts that are art projects, deep trolls or legitimate mentally ill people. They all draw in small crowds and then people usually move on. Q just hit the right brand of conspiracy for the alt-right at the right time, and got signal boosted.

You can't go from talking about purestrain gold to explaining how your entire purpoted worldview was constructed by researching real schizophrenic patterns and taking cues from audience participation on a dime like that. It takes a long period of readjustment for medicated paranoiacs and schizophrenics to be able to get a real sense of perspective on their previous thought patterns.

I want to second this. In my case the path from ranting conspiracy theorist to medicated schizophrenic with some grip on reality was about two and a half years- all of that in active therapy as well as monthly meetings with my psychiatrist to adjust my medication.
