Yo what the gently caress was Golden Boy? I checked it out because That One Swimming Gif was a good joke and it started as like a fairly okay sex-comedy, but then went full-bore into outright porn and mindrape cults and whatever. I gave up at the extended plotline of him being a schoolgirl and skipped to the end which I guess was more worldwide cult stuff and VR sex with full-body teledildonics. Like, was it one of those series that started one way, failed, and descended into madness, or was it always well-known as this deeply weird fetish thing?

So I've been reading To You, The Immortal and just finished the arc with Gugu and this poo poo is bumming me out. Like I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and I feel like the outcome was probably better than it could have been (just because everyone survived for some years), but they also had the inevitable tragedy kick in at possibly the worst moment. I almost feel like it would have been less sad if the girl had died also. Like, the prospect of having her continue to live with her love interest dead and brother-ish figure gone is really depressing. It's also depressing as poo poo for the old couple, who basically lost both their surrogate children. This arc basically involved Fushi's full transition to someone with a relatively normal human personality and mannerisms, so I'm curious where things will go from here. edit: Fushi is going to end up some sort of sadness elemental by the end of this series. Like an entity that just spends centuries accumulating sad experiences.
