Turtles aren't amphibians the way frogs are, how are they not dead before they even leave the factory? Also Jesus, I've been online for 20 years now and that might be the single thing that's made me the saddest

No different from the egg producers everywhere, mentioned earlier I think or in another thread. Where male chicks are instantly mulched up after coming out of the egg.

Also remember that large parts of China are 100% fine with killing millions of sharks for their fins to make soup. No, they don't use the whole shark, they slice the fin off and toss them in the water to die. I believe NBA star Yao Ming started a campaign to stop this practice. Allegedly a lot of people didn't know the sharks were killed in this process. Last I read it didn't really cause the practice to lose any steam.

Outrail posted:"Demand is up! Better order twice as much now." Yeah lol this is why you don't try to rescue them by buying. This lesson has already been learned. Some animal rights group started buying up chinese dogs that were meant for dog meat and rescuing them. All it did was make the dog meat folks in the area intentionally start bringing way more tortured dogs since the animal rights group was essentially a new bulk purchaser. If you want to set them free don't buy them. Steal them instead, that's a loss to the operation.
