SMT seems alright. the best thing so far is that it's one of the only graphics-heavy games I've ever played on Android that properly supports the Android app lifecycle system. so many bad apps (even by big game companies) throw you back out to the initial loading screen if you switch away for more than a few seconds. SMT properly and speedily loads up whatever you were just doing, as it should.

Kiranamos posted:As for the smt game i just read the Google reviews which admittedly are a dumpster fire People think you can't possibly play a gacha without having the rarest possible thing in the game. The game is entirely playable with a team of 3-4 stars. Yes, 5 stars have a 0.5% drop rate. That's not super different from other games. But they're not even that much better than most of the 4-stars or upper-tier 3-stars, but everyone wants what they can't have so they're going to bitch about it. That's all. It's a great loving game. The production values are through the roof. I've sincerely never played anything quite like it.

In SMT you can just fuse demons instead of getting them from the gacha, and for SMT fans that's a massive draw. It's really just SMT with a gacha, not a gacha based on SMT. People complaining about it shouldn't be playing gacha games without parental supervision.

Early impression of Jurassic World Alive update is that it's all great stuff. More spawn locations for dinos and resource collection. Also looks like the daily limit for collecting coins is gone which was a huge issue (I was wrong it's still there). Lots of rare and epic spawns as well as creating hybrids so previously useless dinos now can at least hybridize into something possibly useful. Also there's a friends battle thing where all dinos are levelled to 26 so you can get better idea of how good you are tactically. I just don't have any friends. I wasn't sure if I would like the new Alto game since it looks so similar to the first one but I'm pretty impressed with it. Although its still an arty Ski Safari clone, its a really pretty one and it introduces some new abilities that does mix things up a bit. If you enjoyed the first game it's definitely worth checking out.

The game has gatcha-only monsters, like White Rider that are unobtainable through fusion, not to mention that non-clear/grey archetype demons are only found in the gatcha as well which has a big influence and how good a demon is, for example Teal Ose or Teal Principality has no weaknesses because their archetype skill gives them resist on their one weakness. That's not an insignificant advantage over a Clear Ose or Principality which has no archetype skill at all. Plus the game has "PvP" modes which you'll want to do because it's one of the few sources of gatcha tickets so how good your demons come into play there as well. Dx2 is pretty neat and has some cool ideas by bringing in fusion and having autoquest but trying to pretend it isn't a gatcha rear end gatcha game is silly.

i liked the character combo skills for healing because you can time your heals more precisely than relying on the AI. and the offensive combo skills that i have are a bit more powerful than the non-combo versions

The way Food Fantasy gatcha works is you need to acquire ssr characters as soon as possible. R and SR characters will be outclassed by pve content quickly and you will not be able to finish quests. The big problem with this is most ssr characters will be gated behind the pulling or will take months to grind. Why no I haven't played a game that is built the exact same way before. Edit: If this character progression is anything like similar games built like Food Fight. Enjoy those weeks long grinds to get 4 a day of 1 item that you need to upgrade a character. That is unless you pay premium currency to reset whatever. Mr Hootington fucked around with this message at 21:12 on Jul 26, 2018 |

I fused a teal Ose and could do a Principality but I don't want to, a couple of free 10 pulls (from doing the campaign) and you'll have loads of coloured fodder. If you really want your favourite demon and it's behind the gacha that sucks, but that demon is in no way necessary.

Vexrm posted:Stupid question in Food Fantasy Not every combo is of the same value, but Milk + Black Tea are very good together. Milk gets a party heal that so far never failed to bring everyone back to full health for me, and Black Tea gets a very strong AoE nuke. Personally I'd go for 10k cooking points because you need a lot, and maybe the skin tickets. Possibly the skin tickets first, points are easier to get even if it's slow. I'm not sure if I agree with this, I sit in one of the big discords and so far it seems like some non-SSR characters are still highly valued by everyone, like the two I mentioned before, or Tom Yum, who is R but is one of the more popular tanks. You're right about taking a long time to get shards to upgrade people if you don't pay, but I'm kinda used to stuff like that in gachas, this one is fairly reasonable as far as the genre goes.
