If someone gets a clean 50%+1 in WA's jungle primary, is there still a general election? I assume so but there's a ton of seemingly pointless two-person races on my ballot

The timbers soccer team avoided "public financing" of the improvements at Beaver Stadium but only because they dont get taxed on the seats for some time period. Since they're renting I guess it's the lesser evil, but the fact a Paulson is getting a tax break of any kind is galling to me.

Maybe chill out a moment and read the article. They're not even posturing as if they'd leave, just saying they'd prefer a 5 year lease instead if public funding doesn't materialize.

It's fine, I'm sure the county council is just as spineless as the city council.

Ehhh, it's actually not terrible reporting from the times for once, and it doesn't sound like the funding actually comes from a tax increase. I'd rather not fund private profits over literally anything else, but they are paying rent, and contributing over 200 mill themselves to get similar work done. I'd rather keep the stadium current than having it turn into another Key Arena. Note that I have been to one baseball game in the past 20 years, I'm just thinking of this from a public asset maintenance perspective.
