Wikileaks leaked highly-anticipated emails from Podesta which turned out to be mostly incredibly boring. Chuds were disappointed so they had to find a way to weaponize them politically anyway and they did this by saying that when Podesta talks about eating pizza, he's actually talking about rape. Chuds have to believe these people are comic-book evil in private, not people who share recipes and make food for their children.

The official Wikileaks account encouraged this kind of speculation.

free association aka schizophrenia and faux schizophrenia as learned through immersion in conspiracy videos made by schizophrenics. you can learn to babble nonsense pretty well from youtube videos

they focus on pedophilia, cannibalism because when your theory is unhinged and unmoored from reality then you have incentive to ramp it up to make your conspiracy about the worst possible people you can think of. nobody gets their jollies uncovering a vast conspiracy of tax cheats or people who habitually park their cars across two parking spots. child rape is about the most horrible thing people can feasibly think to accuse each other of in the modern era, if satanism wasn't such a laughable and outmoded accusation you'd see more of that too

The 4chan types claim that Cheese Pizza was a common code word for Child Porn used on pedo sites, including 4chan itself, enough for it to become a huge meme that internet dorks and the upper echelons of both society both use, for some reason.

It's kind of scary how literally anything anyone says is taken as gospel, as long as it's crazy and aimed at their political opponent. Code words and secret symbols and Tom Hanks being part of an international conspiracy to eat children is just accepted as fact and becomes part of the canon with zero evidence or corroboration.

edit: but I mean, surely some of them are trolling. I hope.

yeah, that's what differentiates conspiracy theories from, well, theories. a conspiracy theory is one where you deliberately remove the Bad Idea filter, at worst you end up with different factions of theorists arguing about whether it was a hologram/laser that killed the twin towers, or if it was a remote controlled aircraft, or if it was controlled detonation etc. like when you get multiple guys in the same room who all claim they are jesus

A lot of the Q-mythos is old Blood Libel and New World Order stuff vamped up with a patchy coat of paint. Of course members of these 'very old families' and their allies drink the blood of well-tortured children to obtain some secret substance that they lack and/or crave, and of course they also front a cabal of (((businessmen))) who somehow both already run the world, and still intend to take it over:

i can't imagine anyone is out there rigorously dissecting and laying out exactly all the garbled poo poo these people collectively believe. there's no central core thesis, it's all vague symbols which all flavor of conspiracy theorists project their own pet theories onto. just like how bitcoin is a croud sourced ponzi scheme without any central driver, qanon is a collective fever dream operating by crank magnetism where everyone gets to piss their own idiocy into the universal pot. seriously like 90% of it is just mashups of already extant conspiracy theories about crisis actors and pedophile rings and the remaining 10% is big daddy trump worship

there's no point to debunking any of it since none of it is even rational enough to consider worthy of criticism. you may as well try to debunk a barking dog

Not really that I'm aware of. You kind of have to dive into the threads and see what they bring up. Any "This Is What Q Is" write-ups from the Qult will focus on vague "uncovering corruption/freeing children/saving America" type language. And most of the MSM coverage will pull one or two Pizzagate-y threads to give viewers/readers the feel of it.

I mean, in general, they believe that the world is run by an elite cabal of human-trafficking Satanic cannibalistic child rapists who control literally everything big and small in the world, and Donald was sent by God to save us all.

edit: Oh, and one piece that's gotten more attention lately: anyone in Hollywood who's achieved any measure of success/fame is part of it. Like by definition they believe that to become famous means you've eaten a baby or two at the very least.

Your second sentence doesn't logically follow the first. Q Anon is without a doubt radicalizing Americans and inspiring violence. (Even if it is just 9nd idiot trolling) If Russia is competent with regards to using conspiracy theories to radicalize people wouldn't it follow that they would have perhaps seeing the potential in an operation like Q Anon. I would argue that you are using your layman's understanding of how propaganda works to declare that professional propagandists wouldn't have recognized a real opportunity.

You think Q Anon is stupid and you would never have been able to think of such a scheme. But it doesn't follow that experienced propagandists would have overlooked the opportunity in the same way you have.

All Russia would have to have done is taken their extensive institutional knowledge of how to use conspiracy theories as disinfo and put it in a slightly different format on a slightly different medium. Oh hey just so turns out that Russia is in the middle of experimenting with a wide variety of methods of using conspiracy theories as this info on the internet.

I would argue that everything we have observed from Q Anon is a completely logical evolution of what we already know for 100% certain the Russians are doing.
