Does DSA not have public endorsements or something? I did a few Google searches but couldn't find anything on their website for who they endorsed.

Lol at the early returns for the fifth congressional district. As of now: Cathy McMorris Rodgers - 47.52% Lisa Brown - 47.06% Someone that high up in leadership shouldn’t be losing like that.

Dino Rossi won in my congressional district, but on the plus side the total Democrat votes split between the 4 candidates are like 3-4% more than him + the rando republicans so :woot: I think this seat might be won.

Dino is probably going to lose in November. Ramos is going to beat Magendaz. I'm pretty happy with both those things.

The general election result tends to track pretty well with total party results in jungle primaries so unless something really weird happens he's losing again yeah I hope he runs for school board and loses again next

In 2004 my high school American Government class went to the election night party hosted by the Democrats. I got to hear Lori Matsukawa from King 5 call Susan Hutchinson a dumbass who couldn't find her way out of a empty room and it's always stuck me. I'm not fond of Cantwell but she at least seems like there's brain activity going on somewhere. In voting that counts, it looks like Kim Schier is going to take on Dino Rossi. I hate him so but not as much as Mark Miloscia who I finally got to vote against. Of course tiny drama ridden towns like Pacific love that disingenuous gently caress. If they'd been smart they'd have run Chad for the 8th seat. Chad shows up to stuff. He's present in a way Rossi isn't. He's still a turd, we saw him joking (not joking) "you can have this if your parents are going to vote for me" handing out candy to kids at a parade.

Sarah Smith is trailing, but still in the game in the 10th district US House election; 3.4 % out of second place. Really love to have a candidate I can vote for, even if she'll probably get crushed when the DCCC floods the race.

Anecdotally, I know more than a few Portland folks who have relocated to the couve for less expensive housing. I feel like that's probably got to be impacting the political makeup of that district at least a bit (if it's an actual trend, at least, and not just some weird anomaly among people I know).

The port commissioner vote was a pretty huge signal that the Vancouver area is going blue. That was a choice between historical GOP vs Dem values (oil terminal or waterfront), and the Dem values won handily.

https://www.seattlebusinessmag.com/policy/whats-happening-effort-save-showbox-and-why-it-should-frighten-seattle-business-owners The Showbox battle is heating up and quite interesting. Watching the developer class rear end pucker at the thought of the city getting in the way of there AirBnB condos is amusing. There really is no right answer to them besides stay out of the way of my lands profit.

lol there's no way there's going be apartments made at the showbox that are affordable. It's gonna be luxury condos probably starting at least a million a pop, especially since it's a foreign investor.

It won't be affordable but it will raise $5M dollars for the city's affordable housing fund. I still wouldn't trade that for the showbox if I was King of Seattle, but importing NIMBYism from SFH neighborhoods into the urban core is a disaster.
