The problem comes from people thinking the world isn't actually as mundane as it actually is, and reaching for the conspiracies.

I honestly think that at least a subset of conspiracy nuts could actually be really good writers if they could distinguish reality from the insane poo poo, although if they were capable of that they probably wouldn't come up with these intriguing fictions in the first place.

You want the real thing, Frankenstein Slave? Try Francis E. Dec's GANGSTER COMPUTER GOD WORLD-WIDE SECRET CONTAINMENT POLICY!! and follow it up with WORLDWIDE OPEN SECRET!! perhaps :nws: for offensive language, racism, sexism, antisemitism, balls-to-the-wall insanity and cartoon illustrations of the same (I lost it at HIGH HOLY COMMUNION SODOMY).

Was Dec -- probably the most famous creator of schizophrenia-powered, closely-typed screeds found under windscreen-wipers -- a good writer? By all conventional measures, no. Did he manage to vividly convey what it's like to suffer all-consuming paranoid delusions? I reckon so. He was all too highly qualified for it; although he lived to 70, the illness ruined his life. It's impossible not to laugh, impossible not to feel somewhat sorry for him, and to me at least, impossible to successfully imitate the tone of his writing; believe me, I've tried.

You'll need to be able to use whatever current tripcode the Q team uses on 8chan, which Q fans reckon is a foolproof way to tell that Q is the source of the posts; it has changed quite a few times by the top-sekrit method of Q posting that a trip change is coming up, and then posting with the new one.

Also, there is a non-negligible chance that someone -- probably either a journalist or a member of the police -- does get killed as a result of some channers playing amateur hour with Big Lie propaganda techniques. Best leave the poop alone.

What's weird is the style is instantly recognizable in others. Like, if you jump from Francis E. Dec's essay-flier-things to Gene Ray's Time Cube website, the specific fixations change, but you can tell at a glance that they have the same mental illness.

Actually, you'll see what happened was deliberate misinformation in order to ferret out all of those who opposed Q, and furthermore, if it wasn't, it was a direct attack by the deep state.

People who are trying to discredit Q at this point need to give up. Q doesn't matter. It's off the rails.

This is gold. So technically, if the current tripcode is compromised, there's no theoretical way for him to regain credibility again, correct? The Q poster(s) may have designated backup tripcodes, but I'd love to see how the idiot believers justify following him again if all known tripcodes are broken.

EDIT: so on r/ga they are convinced that this was a trap for precisely 3 intelligence agencies, and that Q was able to track the writer of the pastebin article and now Blackwater is killing the person(s) that posted it. It's just mind boggling how much they accept without even a shred of evidence.

So many Q prophets or whatever always post about elaborately detailed plans about actions being taken in the background and all the idiots following it are just like "I pray for a successful operation"

Yeah, the Q-speakers have this entire thing on lock. Even if Trump himself came out and said Q was bullshit, they'd all still believe in it, because that was necessary disinfo and that means there are serious events going on behind the scenes.

I think the thing that is strange to me is how specific the claims are. I don't know nearly as much as PJ, but I think most cults/conspiracies are vague predictions of something that will happen in the future, or intricate and shadowy plots of past events that are backed up with "evidence" (think Loose Change). They are beliefs that are unfalsifiable, or in the case of doomsday cults something you can justify with "of we just interpreted the date wrong, it's actually X."

All over the Q reddit are claims like "some operators just got into a skirmish and took out 3 elite global pedophiles" or something where the events are supposed to be happening real time, and there's not even any tenuous support to prove those events are happening. Regardless, everyone in the comments just posts about how brave the Q soldiers are and how they're really fighting to make a difference.

I dunno, I guess it's actually easy to understand the Q believers' mindset (anything to confirm their worldview and things are secretly great), it's just disheartening that so many people are so goddamn dumb.

The LARP aspect of it is the wierdest part to me. Like somehow there is this ongoing shadow war behind the scenes of everything, like someone played Assassin's Creed or Deus Ex for too long while high on paint thinner. Also, they are so lazy in their shadow war against satanic cabals all they can offer is decoding ramblings and "thoughts and prayers."

That is some weak poo poo against cosmic evil qultists.

Were people always this loving gullible and stupid, and the internet just amplified this, or is this a new trend?
