So I guess the nutty side of this ended up winning because Q decided to integrate it into the conspiracy.  Threads of conversation include: - How do we know this guy was the one piloting it? - Did vidya really prepare him to fly? - "Do you really think a ground crew guy can just hop into the cockpit and fly like a fighter pilot?" - "The Whidbey Island missile was downed by an F16 with classified tech (whatever that means)." - "the missle was hacked I wonder if the plane could've been remotely piloted to make it look like a Russian hack." - "Suicidal pilot's name? Rich. I follow the topmindsofreddit board pretty closely on account of having lots of posting time lately and it strikes me that Q followers have basically stopped referring to his supposed government credentials entirely. They've switched over to almost exclusively millenarian language when discussing him, talking about godly prophets and poo poo, just generic fundie vernacular I'm used to hearing about religious grifters, but hadn't been the principle way of understanding Q before now

And it's hardly unknown for arsonists to come back to gloat over what they've done. Whether he did it or not, there's an awful lot of people like him and Q could goad them into doing something lethally dumb. A bit of a screed, sorry. But the world of conspiracies is so dementedly intricate that trying to work out exactly why someone who buys into some of them might have committed a crime is tricky. The main villain is literally an Eye of Providence wearing a top hat, it's not some deep Illuminati cypher that you're so clever for figuring out. You'd think that they would be more upset about the actual evidence of institutional pedophilia in the animation industry (John K's grooming of kids and whatnot), but nope, they're freaking out because a new cartoon has "owl" in the title, and that can ONLY be a reference to Bohemian Grove.
