Putting workers on the board without a strong power base is going to be useless. What will happen is all the non worker board members will meet and make all the decisions. Then go to the board and have a show vote. And that's if workers are even allowed to vote for reps that they want. What's to stop the company from pushing their own candidates and punishing workers that vote against them? Or even just changing work classification. You all are contractors so you don't get to vote. The massive power imbalance is going to allow so much fuckery. The proposal is doomed to failure.

I don’t like the bill because it starts at a compromise and is trying to save capitalism from itself. but also conditions in America are so bad that this is an ok stepping stone policy to full worker control of the economy and politics. wise man bowed his head etc
