So apparently Hadley's been on radio claiming that Dutton is challenging for the leadership at some point.

There's just no way he gets the numbers.

I really hope it goes like this:

DUTTON... "oh poo poo we lost 20 points in the 2pp, SPILL!"
MORRISON... "Oh what we lost another point, SPILL!"
BISHOP... "hrm okay, we gained back 22 points but I really don't like her for some reason that I'm totally not willing to say out loud, SPILL"
ABB-wait noANdre-no no um...Fr-Frydenberg?..Pyne? Does ANYBODY want to be PM NO NOT YOU TONY...OH FFS FINE WHATEVER"

Tony calls an immediate election, does not realise he's not the opposition leader, campaigns on a platform of replacing a bad government with 5 of the same ministers in his own cabinet, falls into the crack of doom clutching the orb and sceptre.

‘It’s happening, for sure and certain’: Ray Hadley confirms challenge against Malcolm Turnbull

Ray Hadley confirms forces are rallying to challenge Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s leadership in the next two weeks.

Newscorp reports 10 MPs are threatening to cross the floor and several frontbenchers are considering resigning over the National Energy Guarantee debacle.

After hearing the report Ray called on his contacts within the government to see if it was true.

He phoned Chris Smith’s program saying, “It’s happening, for sure and certain”.

“I’ve been working the phones all morning. I can confirm that those 10 backbenchers and a couple of people on the frontbench have grown considerably in the last 24 to 48 hours.”

The next Newspoll will be relased on Monday, Septemebr 27 [Surely they mean August???] and would be Malcolm Turnbull’s 39th consecutive loss to Labor.

It’s believed Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton will be the catalyst for a challenge against Malcolm Turnbull.

Ray says he’s “100%” certain this will happen

“I’m convinced having spoken to people this morning since I’ve come off air, that it’s on, there will be a move.

“I don’t think until Monday-week when the next Newspoll is out, but if the news is as bad as we all think it will be for the Coalition government…

“And the bloke who’s in as much danger as the Prime Minister, probably more, is the Deputy Prime Minister who is as weak as water and the Nationals have had a gutful of him.”

Abbott is obsessed with not letting Turnbull get a full term in, in reality he should be thanking turnbull. If he hadn't been tossed for turnbull the lnp would have been slaughtered at the last federal election and Abbott would go down as one of the very worst pms in Australian history.

E he probably will anyway but as half term Tony the joke pm

The community of Woy Woy on the central coast began demanding answers shortly after the development application was lodged for a four-story apartment block for seniors on the site which also includes the local bowling club and sits at the edge of the waterfront with a playground, bike track and walking path.
When residents started asking questions about the development, they discovered part of the land at the front of the block was once crown land and the Government had sold it off in 2015 for $38,830.

...

The State Government is required by law to advertise the sale of public land in a newspaper local to the sale or in a state-wide publication.
In this case, the advertisement for the sale of the Woy Woy land appeared in The Bateman's Bay post — a publication that serves residents 380 kilometres south of Woy Woy.

Greens MP David Shoebridge has referred the sale to the Independent Commission Against Corruption.

He’ll probably be number two on the KAP senate ticket.

So if Queenslanders give KAP enough votes to warrant two senators, he could get another term.

quote:

Delivery food company Foodora has entered into voluntary administration — two weeks after it told the ABC it was "solvent".
Foodora has appointed Worrells Solvency and Forensic Accountants as its administrators.
"While Foodora's intention was to wind down its affairs in Australia in an orderly fashion and with the support of its parent company [Delivery Hero] to meet all known liabilities, the company has been faced with significant external challenges," Shelley Borstein of Worrells said in a statement.
"These have impeded the company's ability to implement a solvent wind-down of its affairs."
Two weeks ago, Foodora announced it would pull out of Australia by August 20.
At the time, a spokesperson from the company said the reason for its departure was to "shift [its] focus towards other markets where the company currently sees a higher potential for growth".
Foodora is currently being sued in two lawsuits — by the Fair Work Ombudsman and the Transport Workers Union — which allege the company systematically underpays and exploits its delivery riders.
Its solvency issues will mean it might not be able to pay any penalties or judgment debts if it loses those cases.

KAP getting two quotas in a half-senate election would be a pretty insane result, especially given he'd be competing with One Nation for the Nazi vote.

Matter of fact, I'm salty now.
From an hospo perspective, Foodora was always a flaming pile of poo poo that no one used to order. We had uber eats, Eat Now (which was like some proto Uber eats but you had to pick it up and used an ancient looking Eftpos like machine) and Foodora. I think I remember getting like 2 Foodora orders ever, and (exploitation associated with any of these delivery services aside) it was a shirt off-brand Uber Eats but somehow worse.
