through intense deliberation, i've determined the proper Leftist stance on Syria is to loving Ignore It. there's so much misinformation out there, and everyone writing about it willfully omits facts that are inconvenient for their position, so it's pretty much impossible to come up with a defensible argument. even lukewarm support for Kurdish independence means that you are a CIA shill pushing for the creation of an ethnostate and because this is an issue with dumb idiots: the positions aren't "imperialism good vs. imperialism bad" lol, because loving everyone loving with Syria is doing imperialism (even the humble and peaceful turks have culturally appropriated Imperialism from the blood-soaked first world!!!!). hell, half the issue with taking any position is that you can't say "__ is bad, but military intervention is hosed" without being accused of lending intellectual support to american/russian/posadist imperialism syria: dont talk about it, ok???
