sincx posted:Pannen talks about a hypothetical future "final run." Does this imply that at a certain point they'll give up on the remaining A-presses, or will it not be a "final run" until every single A-press is removed at some far future date? A final run would either be 0 A-presses or proof that no more can be saved. But since they keep finding new tricks it's hard to imagine how the latter situation could come about.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone is working on a final any% run on Wii VC

A lower bound exists. It's impossible to keep shaving off a-presses into perpetuity. e: Also, zero a-presses is not the end. You can keep saving time while maintaining the same number of presses.

I'm sorry but we cannot rule out the possibility of a negative A press. There's still work to be done.

Imaginary a-presses may seem like nonsense but they actually are fundamental to real a-press calculation.

First they'll get to zero a-presses, and then they'll go for zero b-presses.

N64 mouse was probably a Japanese 64DD thing. I think I remember them talking about a sort of Mario Paint sequel on the DD.

yeah it came with mario artist paint studio and you could use it in the other 2 mario artist games. starcraft 64 supports it as well which is weird since it never came out in japan and the mouse never came out in america
