I like brutal death metal, rarely slam but I don’t know, sometimes I need that kind of heavy Oddly enough Meshuggah really scratches that itch for me. These vocals, performed competently enough, sort of drag; there's nothing nearly approaching the quality of "Winter Madness" or "Battle Against Time" in terms of writing. For what it's worth, to my ear the rest of the album wasn't such on the nose Wintersun pastiche as this track, but I loved it all the same. I also have zero problem with the vocals, although they don't exactly stand out to me either.

The upcoming Metal Punk Death Fest looks pretty good. I’ve already seen Mutilation Rites, Grief and Skullshitter. Would love to check out Massgrave, Outer Heaven, and Saccage but I’m probably not going to go for all three days. Any other bands stand out in this lineup?
