Chitoryu12 I think is the CraneGoon. Meanwhile, this is from a mine in Western Australia where they were blasting out a new portal and set up their Go Pro to film it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-T5Fy5qzRw They found the camera in the middle of the nearby open pit the next day.

Sometimes, the bike is pulling small wheelies or jumping and moving around as it lands because they are racing on public roads that are not smooth like a race track.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRWp9rhfS_0 The Isle of Man is my absolute favorite racing event. Edit: Fatal accidents are not the reason I love the race, I love it in spite of the accidents. Since this is the OSHA thread, though, here is a list of all the deaths associated with the oldest motorcycle race in the world: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Snaefell_Mountain_Course_fatalities Day Man fucked around with this message at 02:17 on Sep 5, 2018 |

Avatar/post combo on point. Day Man posted:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRWp9rhfS_0 I had to come to terms with the inevitability of fatalities when I started watching MotoGP, but Isle of Man is an order of magnitude more insane. I mean, I get it -- I watch the documentaries and take former racers out for beers to tell me about what it's like -- but holy poo poo if that course doesn't kill at least 2 riders every time they run the races.

"Road" is a great documentary about one of the families that has been involved with the race for multiple generations and how they have dealt with the deaths. It was on Netflix last I checked.

There was a video on youtube somewhere that got taken down that showed a guy getting twisted up in knots and the discussion was about how many bones were not broken, as that would be the easier number to tally up. Which one of you was it that said "Don't gently caress with a spinning shaft!" Sage advice.

Humerus posted:https://twitter.com/OrlandoFireDept/status/1037031712843345923 They actually came and interviewed the CEO yesterday about it! That’s very far from a “small” crane. Just eyeballing it, it’s probably got a capacity of 40-50 tons. Every type of crane requires training and we work to discourage the notion that any crane is “so simple” that it doesn’t require any training. It’s an especially big problem with overhead cranes and small industrial cranes in warehouses with a 2 ton capacity. Totally untrained people get put on them to learn on the job and that’s how you kill employees.

I'm guessing the big issue with repairing the meat grinder arm is no the broken bones but rather the ground up muscles and soft tissue.

And the fact the whole thing needs to be cooked to 160* to be safe. I would guess they amputate so the guy doesn't die of sepsis.
