The only place in Idaho I've ever ridden a motorcycle is where there's no cell service or in Montana and it's pretty much a 50/50 split between enduros and Harleys.

Oh and we have distracted driving laws too and it doesn't matter, everyone is on their phone constantly when driving. I find my car horn to be much more effective at stopping it than the law.

Some fucker stole my bike cover from my flats underground car park while my bike was at work. It’s a £15 cover, go buy your own you little scrote.  I have never seen anything lower than dot4 in my life, the notion of an auto parts place or gas station not having any is mindboggling. Like I'm astonished you can still buy dot 3 anywhere.

I think somebody tried to steal my bike in London last year, but thought twice after uncovering it (the almax chain is thicker than my arm) but they did take the cover. Minor and irritating crime!

Thanks to 8 years of cuts to police numbers, plod pretty much won't even turn up to look at any crime that doesn't involve blood. They have admitted their handling of bike crime is lacklustre, and are reviewing ways to deal with the problem. But given the new London lock/cover campaign is pretty much “it’s your fault if it gets stolen”.

I had a very fun incident the other day. Car stops in front of me with left signal on. "OK, cool, they are gonna turn into the parking lot over yonder." I move to pass them on the right. They turn right. I panic brake. I had to stop for about 5 seconds to reconsider my life choices.
