I wonder how many times they had to repeat the rules about Fight Club, because it's not like you're going to remember 8 rules the first time they're told to you without some written notes.

People who are illiterate tend to have better memories since they're not used to writing stuff down as a crutch. How else do you think he learns his lines?

Is this a forums in joke because I can't find an external reference to Brad Pitt being illiterate, or a joke about it either

It's a joke from this thread, someone posted that one of his characters was illiterate which transitioned into Brad Pitt himself being illiterate.

That page also has one of the many "only on SA" conversations about how From Dusk Till Dawn totally was supposed to be a surprise vampire movie and the marketing ruined it despite nobody ever being able to provide proof of that being true and not just goon think

Yeah I mean if you didn't look at any of the marketing and went into the film blind then the vampires would be a complete surprise, I don't see anything outlandish about that claim.

As someone who did this, yes it was a surprise IIRC I wa actually kind of annoyed when they first showed up, I wanted more of the first part of the movie

The argument goes "this movie that was marketed at a vampire movie, has vampires on the cover, and mentions them all over the box is totally supposed to have surprise vampires" apparently because they saw it blind on tv one afternoon that was The One True Intended Way to see the movie and the marketing ruined it Edit: but unlike Terminator 2 there's nothing saying the marketing spoiled it. Just goons who blindly saw it on TV saying the marketing spoiled the twist

I saw T2 first when I was 10 and about two dozen times before I saw T1.

I managed to introduce my daughter to the Star Wars prequels without her realizing Anakin was Darth Vader (who she only knew was a bad guy and hadn't seen episode 4 yet). I was a little taken back by how angry she got.

I liked that one of the many ways that Blade Runner 2049 showed the world was hosed, was having it snow in LA. Also that JOI means jack off instructions in porn, very appropriate given Joi's nature in the movie.

If the Bop It is to call out "Twist it!", the player must quickly turn the "Twist it!" crank. If the Bop It is to call out "Pull it!", the player must quickly pull the "Pull It!" handle.[3][5]

Yeah I was doing entertainment journalism back then and for preview screeners they'd put us all in this weird baby size theatre that could only hold 12 people. There was a lot of confused journalists walking out of there that day. I remember one older guy was actually angry about it like he felt the movie set out to deceive him or something.

The first time I seen Dusk til Dawn, I was channel surfing and tuned in at the moment someone says "Aren't they supposed to burst into flames or something?" All I seen was vampire movie, I watched the rest and liked it. By the time I got to see the movie from the start months later I was so confused. Where the vampires at movie?
