Yeah, I feel like the writing's getting more comfortable with jokes that aren't just physical comedy with Rimuru's gooey figure. Show's rounding into form nicely IMO, consistently pleasant watch. I really hope the show doesn't lose sight of this village building goal we've got right now, building a friendly village of monsters and humans by doing good deeds for people with skills or connections ala Ni No Kuni 2 or something seems like a very charming and likable sort of premise, fits will with the show's overall demeanor.

Then, I thought they were saving the twist for the elves. Instead of using the daydreams to play jokes on slime-sama, they establish that he's fully on board with this fantasy setting, and that works too.

There's a couple of small details that seem to be getting cut to keep the pace up in the anime and to adjust it's gratuity (example: more MANLY FLEXING, less Slime Sitting in Buxom Beauties' Lap.)

Not everybody can afford your fancypants resurrection magic, some have to settle with raise dead and what happened to your body while dead. In slime news, I encountered two new slime mangas, Doctor and Slime(hakase to suraimu) which is highly recommended, and Slime life, which is a brief chapter story of a blackmage and her contracted slimes day to day life. Fun, but incomplete.
