I really hate that I'm being That VN Player Guy here, but a glance over the last couple eps of the Uta2 anime is just weirding me out in terms of all the arbitrary-feeling changes that pretty much universally undercut dramatic impacts or whole character beats from the game. I also feel like it implies a character death that didn't actually happen, but it's still opaque enough to reserve the possibility of dancing around that

I actually thought it was made much later but looking it up the whole series came out in three months so I dunno. There a huge shift in quality between the first ep and 2&3 as well.

I think the Guyver OVAs would be a better choice than Genocyber, they cover a lot of similar stuff but Guyver is actually good

The Guyver OVA's start off decent but by the second half the 'animation' might as well be people sliding paper cutouts around the screen. The TV series is decent but loses out on the gore factor due to TV.
