Mysterio broke into the Ultimate Universe? The universe that was destroyed? It's like a burglar breaking into an abandoned building and being excited that he'll be able to sell all this dynamite someone left strapped to the columns.

It was the plot of Spider-Men (Miles and 616 Peter meeting for the first time). Mysterio found a bridge/gap between 616 and the ultimate universe so he used a robot/LMD he controlled (from 616) to dick around and be Mysterio in that one too. This same bridge/gap was then used during the Hunger storyline (Galactus sent to the Ultimate universe at the end of Age of Ultron) to travel to 616 and find out info on Galactus.

Spider-Men (the miniseries not the characters) showed that Ultimate Mysterio was just 616 Mysterio in a different outfit*. He stumbled across a portal between worlds entirely by accident. *he might have actually been remote operating a robot from the 616 side, can't quite remember.

As it was posted above it was in Spider-Men, the crossover between Miles and Peter well before Secret Wars. But also to note, the Ultimate Universe still exists and was show recently in Al Ewing's Ultimates I believe.

The Ultimate universe, or a version thereof, does still exist; that was the whole plan in Bendis's Spider-Men II, that somebody in 616 wanted to cross back over there. Ewing's Ultimates featured the Maker recreating 1610 Cap, Tony, Janet, Hank, and Hulk to fight on his behalf.

OK, then maybe it was Spider-Men II where they showed the Ultimate Universe where Peter was on the Ultimates with Spider-Woman, The Human Torch, and a new Ultimate Riri among others. Been a while since I read it. I knew it was in some book.

Well, that's a new way to deal with the hulk as a character. I kind of like it. I mean, presumably he's still "alive" when in chunks, but all the chunks need to be in proximity before they can do anything, right? Otherwise it's more suspended animation. I'm already seeing a story line where it is like the above, Hulk is in literal pieces, strewn about the country/world and someone has to Castlevania all over the place to bring the parts back and reform him. But rather than just being kept in jars Professor Wayne posted:Anyone wear his hands like gloves? exactly this. Someone is using his hands as gloves which let you do his big clap moves. Another person has his legs and it lets him jump and run. Someone else is using his torso as a tank, and another guy is carrying Hulk's heart in his chest. Call it Hulk: Disassembled or Some Assembly Required. If Hawkeye is still getting poo poo for "killing" him in CW2, he's the main guy and this is his redemption for that.

(Actually, isn't that clap power mostly going to be a function of the chest and arm muscles?) Hulk-heart guy's blood pressure would probably be so high, blood squirts out of his head like a fountain. I am 100% in favor of reading this. I haven't read Invincible in years, but I remember there being a big fight with a mustached older enemy that ended in Invincible punching so hard that he broke open both of his arms. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, I think it'd count as a "badass panel". I know it ends with this scene https://imgur.com/a/hsW4n1h but I can't find the fight in-sequence anywhere.
