To the dying-and-resurrected harvest god, the trickster, and the culture hero who brings forbidden knowledge from the underworld, we can add: the short dude with knives for hands. During Greg Pak' s run on Herculse (where he took over the Hulk's book.) He got together a team of Heroes to take on Olympus. There was an entire bit about how a number of Heroes (Spider-man, Wolverine and Spider Woman) were mythological archetype. Wolverine was like Cú Chulainn, the Beserker warrior who is consumed by violence but doesn't want to be trapped in it.

(And trickster God who prevails through his wits is a decent fit for Peter.) I think Jessica Drew was Kali (possibly Shiva.) I can't remember the rational for it. But I really liked the Pakk/ Fred Van Lente run on Herc.

Spider-Man doesn't actually trick people that often, he usually succeeds through sheer determination. There's definitely stories where he's tricked someone, but it's not his M.O.

Also his Parker luck, which absolutely has to be the work of at least three trickster gods.

The main thing that makes Peter not a trickster archetype is that those guys make as many problems as they cause and constantly outsmart themselves and have their schemes collapse on their heads in the end. Peter does have a poo poo life due to deciding to be Spider-man, but that's not really the same.

This scene takes place after Koharu won a competition fight in the previous chapter (flashback on the 4th page). site posted:Hanakaku - The Last Girl Standing, vol 1 ch 6 This one resonates with me a lot because I'm a smol boy who decided to start working out a couple of months ago on and off but I noticed I was actually making some progress and went "Why don't I go the entire week?" and it has been great This sequence from OPM also is a good one for me: There's a Hero Association in OPM where people can apply too and are classified in Ranks: C, B, A, and S. A lot of members in the first two are normal humans or people with some sort of lesser ability while the A and S are the usual superpowered anime characters. The Blizzard Bunch is a group of B Class heroes who take down villains by sheer volume size but when things go south they rely on Blizzard, who has a minor superpower. But this time even that isn't enough. It seems to be over and the new guy can't keep it up anymore but the monster rises again. But this time he has the backup of a Class-C Hero.
