Tons of people in the (upper) Middle East are a lot lighter than folks tend to assume, like Italian/Greek white easily (fair hair not so much). Though lol no German/English white except for extreme outliers.
Nothing about that has to do with what religion anyone is. And plenty of those people would and could pass as light skinned latino/as (not Mexicans maybe, but others certainly).
So making some specifically racial distinction between them and latin immigrants just feels strange and off to me.

Carlson claims that they pounded on his door hard enough to crack it and that implies they were trying to break it down.

Tucker Carlson obviously should not be taken as a reliable witness to his own behalf.

But a lot of people bit on this by not only assuming that yes, the door had been broken down, but also on the flip side arguing that it was a good and acceptable thing and merely an issue of property damage.

The great thing about the thousands of slaughtered Palestinian children is that they can't pull away when you fondle them or sniff their hair.

That's a Biden success story.
We're entering a really dangerous phase, at this point the Right has demonstrated no willingness or interest in playing by the rules that we have agreed to operate under. They have openly flaunted both norms and the law and have shown a willful desire to continue their malfeasance unabated. There is no legal remedy to something like that.

We are currently living in a situation where a minority has taken control of the mechanism of power through unscrupulous means and are in the process of cementing their power and are acting to close off any avenues to deal with them through peaceful means.

Escalations such as what happened with Tucker Carlson are inevitable. Not desirable by any means but inevitable and inevitably there will be casualties on both sides many of whom do not deserve such, but such is the nature of war and make no mistake we're at war, that it hasn't shifted to a hot war quite yet has more to do with the Left not wanting to upset their status quo in the process. Something I fully understand. I'm a parent my first obligation is to my family and my children however the Right represent an existential threat to the entirety of humanity.

Also I think that it's worth remembering that the Left has been trying very very hard to find a way out of this mess that doesn't involve exterminating the Right, Because we rightfully don't want to become like the monsters we fight. The problem is that unless the Right backs down and starts playing by the rules again we're going to reach a point where it's literally a choice between their survival or ours and when that time comes there is going to be a lot of collateral damage. Because these children innocent as they may be today will not remember us kindly in the wake of an all out war where their parents are exterminated.

The problem is that there are too many of them to imprison, they are impervious to education and they are both scared as hell and heavily armed. They're already killing our people and our options for dealing with them are shrinking. The authorities who should be protecting us from Right wing violence are either uninterested, unconcerned or in many cases complicit.

When our collective institutions no longer function in a way that serves the will of the people those people will eventually take matters into their own hands. It is unreasonable to ask people to lay down meekly while they are exterminated. The Left and by Left I mean everyone who isn't a chud in this country are getting frustrated and impatient with how things are going. They see constant blatant corruption, obstruction and illegal activities being done by our own government meanwhile those who are "good" are powerless to stop them.

I'll be honest. I don't personally trust the election results out of Texas, Florida or Georgia, all three states have long histories of electoral malfeasance on the part of the GOP, I'm old enough to remember the debacle in Florida back in 2000, and how hanging chads and a complicit supreme court gave us W. We see these fuckers cheat blatantly and get away with it, and yet for some reason people are being asked to retain faith in the process. Well that faith is waning at this point, people are ready to get rowdy and given that it's a true grass roots movement and not some AstroTurfed nonsense like the Tea Party there are going to be some who are more radical and more violent than others.

The Right is counting on us quietly accepting their actions a not entirely unreasonable assumption given that we've done so repeatedly up to this point. The Democrats have not taken advantage of the times they actually had power to address the systemic issues that are fundamentally unfair and tilt the field to the advantage of the Right which is leading to frustration on the part of the people.

The Right only understands power and given that they have actively worked to dis-empower the Left to the point where we literally have no legal recourse so the only option is rapidly becoming an illegal one. Now hopefully some of the less stupid members of the Republican party will come to their senses and shut this poo poo down before things escalate to open civil war however that's far from certain as they have thus far shown no interest in doing anything even resembling that and have instead continued to double and triple down on their most heinous views.

While I don't advocate threatening children, in the end that is a powerful weapon that can be used to get the Right to stand the gently caress down. If they know that their children are threatened by their actions then some of them will settle down and behave. It's not a desirable outcome, it's not a good thing, but ultimately it is an effective thing. Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better, if they ever do.

People seem to forget that historically when the privileged classes behave in a way that demonstrates their utter contempt and disdain for the underclasses those underclasses will eventually tear poo poo up. The Right in the United States has spent the last 60 years dehumanizing the Left, turning liberal into a bad word and painting the Democrats and the free press as a threat. They've been psyching themselves out for this fight for decades. They are armed and prepared. It's time that the Left and by that I mean all of those who are not chuds get it through our heads that poo poo is about to get ugly and we're going to have to have the resolve to do what is needful in order to survive.

We have maybe 10-20 years until the affects of climate change put us in a position where we'll be facing food shortages, coastal inundation mass migrations and weather we probably don't even have words for yet. And we can't even begin to address that massive existential threat until we first deal with the idiots living in denial that it's even a problem. Who also happen to be super gun ho at not only continuing the very same behaviors that lead to climate change but intensifying them, This on top of all of their other vileness and hateful policies.

It really comes down to what do you do when a quarter or more of the population is crazy? When they refuse to recognize our shared reality and the real threats to our collective survival? When they not only won't consider adjusting their behavior in a way to mitigate those threats but actively engage in damaging behavior for no apparently reason other than to mock those of us who do recognize those threats?

In the end humans are cave people with cell phones, liberals/leftists/progressives aren't some special new breed, we're just one variation on a violent pack animal that has a long and brutal history of violence and death. It's going to start small, just like it has on the Right in fact it already has with the lone wolf mentally ill like that guy who shot Scalice, you'll have others who aren't quite ready to go full on violent rioting and we've already seen plenty of violence on the peripheries of various protests and counter protests. There will some who like in PJ's compaction mechanism who will decide that peaceful protests are insufficient and start taking more radical and violent actions. Remember the Weather Underground and the Black Panther Party ? That's coming and I'm guessing that it's coming sooner rather than later.

The losses in the Senate and Trumps moves to squash the Mueller investigation pretty much assures that.

All of the gains that have been won by the Left in the history of the United States came with at the cost of blood through violent actions, Not because we want to be violent but because there are no other options. Peaceful protests only work when you are dealing with a public that has empathy and shame. However the Right have no empathy they have no shame, Trump and his supporters would cheer at a bunch of lefties getting gunned down in the streets. Trump has already blatantly suggested that peaceful protesters should be treated "Real roughly". And despite very obvious blatant Right wing violence against left targets the something like 40% of the voting population was perfectly ok with voting Republican.

I'm personally skeptical over whether peaceful protests will do any good to shift the attitude of the public. I think that we're going to see some very real violence directed at protesters very soon. Like violence that will make Kent State look mild in comparison.

This is the ultimate danger that Trump and his enablers have created. When people feel like they are facing fundamental unfairness and they have no legal recourse because the authorities have demonstrated a fundamental contempt for the law and process. Then those people will resort to means outside the law to have their grievances recognized and addressed. When it's just fringe weirdos you get the occasional lone wolf criminal. However when you have entire classes of people or worst yet the majority of the people feeling this way that's when the guillotines come out and heads start to roll. There was a lot of violence directed at the rich during the guided age and the great depression. The labor movement engaged in gun battles with the hired guns, police and national guard that were sent to defend employers. and the Panthers had shoot outs with the police.

Given that the Right has shut down any recourse that the Left has to have our grievances addressed combined with their blatant and visible contempt for the very concept of accountability and adhering to the law. It's only a matter of time until something pushes people past their breaking point.

So TLDR yeah threatening children is bad, but war is bad and unless the Right changes their behavior it's inevitable that there will be innocents who will die.
