I think this was a good reply in context, but Bill Mitchell is still garbage and should not be posted in this thread going forward.

This also goes for like, #resistance grifters and nobodies with like 100 followers or self-tweets.

Yes that means you can’t post the Beto sex tweet.

Every time I voted I had to sign my name under my entry in this big book of registered voters in my town, and was given a ticket. You can't just change clothes, you would need a second identity that was registered to vote, Right?

Everything Trump says is prima facie wrong. Don't worry about the specifics of the dumb poo poo coming from his mouth.

yes, you would need false credentials to vote more than once. you can't just come in wearing a big fake moustache. also your false credentials would need to be on the voter roll, which means the easiest thing to ensure this happens is to steal someone else's credentials

since trump doesn't seem to know how voting works in the us, can we read this as confirmation that trump doesn't vote?

Is the more believable idea that someone is casting ballots in the name of neighbors or family members they know are registered?

Well, there have certainly been Trump voters busted voting in place of their dead relatives, but this isn't really a very scalable approach.

You would think you would have heard something when a few people complained when they went to vote but they were turned away because it says they already voted.

He made a whole dog and pony shoe out of it 2 years ago, but reportedly this year he very quietly absentee balloted a few weeks ago:

https://www.newsweek.com/did-donald-trump-vote-2018-midterm-elections-1204768

There is a pretty good chance his wife/daughter/chief of staff filled it out for him. Or he spilled diet coke on it and threw it out.

quote:

However, a POLITICO reporter who visited the appeals court clerk's office on a day when a key filing in the dispute was due earlier this month observed a man request a copy of the special counsel's latest sealed filing so that the man's law firm could craft its response. The individual who asked for the secret filing declined to identify himself or his client and replied “I’m OK” when offered a reporter’s business card to remain in touch.

Shouldn't it be the opposite? That since you know that you are a lame duck, you start being aggressive with your agenda since there is no downside. Does that mean that Jeff Flake actually cared about decorum but crumpled when pressed instead of a conservative that was just trying to use decorum to pretend that he is sensible adult? Although I guess that's still up in the air. He might still flake.

very true, but i don't know how i'd word "the court should deny discovery on how racist my client is, because we all know he's racist as all loving hell but my plan is to appeal this to the supreme court where they'll ignore any amount of evidence that the other side can present" in a motion

Yeah it sort of seems like that he does care about decorum (or more precisely, he wants to be the kind of person who cares) but cares about his party more and thought that being too :decorum: would hurt Republicans. But now he doesn't give a gently caress, his term is over, they lost his seat anyway so he might as well try to act like he cared.

I would qualify this statement, Amazon publicly caved but the raise they gave everyone came at the expense of a bunch of other poo poo they took away, including all raises ever lol.

Not that this is Bernie's fault of course, but it means that the fight against Amazon is far from over. That's arguably the difficult part of doing this kind of specific public call out, it's relatively easy for the business in question to do something that the public thinks means the problem is over but really doesn't change much of anything.

Ha ha, never loving mind.

Congressional Black Caucus members are unhappy with Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez, taking a symbolic vote Wednesday to voice their opposition to his leadership of the party.

Members passed a measure inside their caucus stating they have “no confidence” in Perez as DNC chair. Black Caucus members are upset with how Perez handled the historic August vote to strip superdelegates of their power during the party’s presidential nominating process.

CBC chairman Cedric Richmond, D-La., confirmed to the Washington Examiner that the vote passed for a “combination of reasons” but the primary reason was the superdelegate reforms.

“I think just a lack of respect for our members — you know during the Hillary [Clinton] race if we went to 300 places for Congress, we went to 400-500 places for Hillary,” Richmond said of Black congressional members. “It’s one of the thing with being a party leader.”

“Our members we’re just not happy,” Richmond added.
