The challenges give you all sorts of ideas on how to murder the targets at least. I'm almost finally done maxing out New Zealand and I'm like halfway done with Paris. The only publisher that can Do No Wrong is CDPR. Up until the moment that's no longer true. Brand tribalism is a cancer of the modern age. I've always had zero interest in FO76 just because it's multiplayer, they removed the NPCs, and flattened character development down to the lowest possible level. Those are problems with the game's core design philosophy (that is almost assuredly sprung from an engine limitation) so if other people ended up having a good time, whatever, guess I missed out, but that game isn't for me. My interest in it at this point is because it's a colossal commercial failure, and not only do I like observing these things (like Battlefront II's lootcrate debacle) but it also makes me concerned about the future direction of games. There's not that many games that appeal to me the same way that Bethesda open world games do, so it's concerning when their flagship title for 2018 shits the bed like this, because I don't know if they're going to actually learn from these mistakes or not.

Fallout 76 is actually really good and the reason its sold poorly is because a shadowy cabal composed of Youtube Personalities and The Gaming Media have conspired to bring it down because ???????????? like that's pretty much what I saw on the Fallout Reddit when I looked at it earlier. Like some Qanon poo poo over videogames, thats what I don't get. I'm not going to poo poo on people liking bad games because god knows I've played and enjoyed some pretty bad poo poo in my time. Just, you know, I didn't label it a global conspiracy against my fun or whatever.

They're working on borderlands 3 right now. Like that's not a "maybe". That's a thing. I will always love Borderlands but I literally haven't given a poo poo about anything else Gearbox has ever done.

Borderlands has its issues, but it's just a fun non-serious RPG esque FPS that's fun to play with friends. I'd absolutely be down with a 3rd

Base BL2 was aggressively unfun until I used cheat engine to massively increase the drop rate for the rare items and even then most of them were garbage It kind of felt like playing Diablo 3 around launch, to be honest The DLCs were pretty neat, though.
