Amazon has a really good selection of 50's-80's b-movie style horror, scifi, exploitation, etc.

They also have, and this the weirdest thing ever, Cinemax softcore porn, but it's all censored and edited to take out the sexy parts.

Well it takes place in Mexico, so yeah.

Only holdover from the original show is that the white DEA agent occasionally narrates. So far I’d say it’s on par with the 2 good seasons of Narcos.

There was a third season of Narcos?

Dang there was. Wasn't interested after Escobar died. The way the narrative was written for those first two seasons, it was a battle of two personalities. I couldn't see how they could continue that after one of the two was gone.

They shouldn’t have. The third season wasn’t actually bad per se. it was pretty entertaining, but it felt gratuitous and totally skippable.

They attempted to with one of the former bit players but even after playing fast and loose with history (private C-17s lol) it just felt underwhelming.

It's good, and right now is the best time to watch this movie with the recent release of an apocalyptic climate report (I honestly don't think this is a spoiler).

That's Scoot McNairy narrating, not the guy who played the agent in the first two seasons. Scoot McNairy is amazing and I'd pay to hear him read the phone book. Also Narcos: Mexico is very very very much worth it.

I think Roar and Britannia are awful in exactly the same way, although one is very 90's and one is very 2010's.

Also the show is overall better than Vikings and probably the best medieval setting show in tv history imo.

Ugh god yes and the opening narration of every episode was like a 'too dramatic' reading of the script or something. I liked the 1st 2 seasons though but there were some minor annoying bits. Glad to know S3 is even better.

Oh drat, that's a shame. It's the kind of movie I might not have ever seen if I hadn't of caught it randomly on Netflix. At least you can still rent it through places like Amazon, which I'd recommend to anyone in the mood for something offbeat and weird.

Also, apologies if I missed discussion on this but has anyone checked out They'll Love Me When I'm Dead and The Other Side of the Wind yet, and if so, which order would you recommend watching them in?

Anyone else catch Bujalski's next movies after CC? I haven't gotten around to Results, but I thought Support the Girls was fantastic as well, albeit in a very different, much more normal fashion.

Results felt quite surprisingly plain and routine. That's kinda inevitable coming after Computer Chess, but even compared to Funny Ha Ha it seems to lack... personality, I guess? It feels like it could've been directed by anyone. It's still perfectly watchable, just run-of-the-mill

That’s too bad. I do think it’s cool how the grand conspiracy is the rise of the secret nazi military, but I can see how that could get a little corny once it’s made more obvious and isn’t just the mystery in the background kind of thing

I didn't have any problem with the political stuff, I just didn't like the drawn-out fake-out death. I also didn't like the twiiiist of the gold train car, but that didn't have any effect on the plot, so it's minor. Still much enjoyed the show in general, though.
