The "what happened elsewhere during the time Merkel was chairwoman" bit they did at the Parteitag made me think: Germany only had three chancellors during the last 36 years. Dunno about the new emote. Compared to the one it was based on it seems rather diminuitve. Compare: It actually makes it rather difficult to see that the dog is wearing a pickelhaube. Almost looks more like he is wearing a candle on his hat. I'll give it 3/10.

Sowas ist natürlich totaler Schwachsinn, und definitiv verwehrt Frauen Autonomie über ihren eigenen Körper. Das Abtreibungsverbot ist da ein natürlicher Teil dieser Frauenverachtenden Philosophie. Und dazu kommt selbstverständlich auch, dass vielen dieser Leute das Schicksal des Kindes und der Mutter nach der Geburt herzlich egal ist. Alleinerziehende Mütter zu unterstützen würde ja nur deren Sünde belohnen! Aber trotzdem bestimmt eine Frau bei einer Abtreibung nunmal nicht nur über ihren eigenen Körper, sonder auch den ihres Kindes. Deshalb finde ich schon, dass man das differenziert betrachten muss. Natürlich ist es schonmal grundsätzlich unfair, dass dieses Problem nur Frauen betrifft. Weshalb es für mich als Mann auch extrem schwer ist, hier irgendwas zu sagen. Aber wie gesagt, wann zieht man den Strich, dass menschliches Leben beginnt (und Abtreibung zum Mord wird), und wann der Fötus nur eine Ansammlung von Zellen ist (was Abtreibung eine Sache für die Frau allein macht)? Ich finde alle vorgeschlagenen Methoden ziemlich willkürlich, während die "das menschliche Leben beginnt mit der Empfängnis" Methode den Vorzug hat, einfach und klar zu sein. Was wiederum den prinzipiellen Stand zulässt, dass Abtreibungen nie zulässig sein sollten. Deshalb würde es in meiner Idealwelt auch keine Abtreibungen geben. Männer und Frauen würden zuverlässige Verhütungsmittel unbürokratisch vom Staat gestellt bekommen, Mütter hätten noch besseren Schutz was das Arbeitsrecht angeht, es gibt eine Garantie auf kostenlose Ganztagskrippenplätze, Ganztagskindergartenplätze und Ganztagsschulplätze für berufstätige Mütter, sowie bessere finanzielle Unterstützung. Und was einem sonst noch so einfällt. Es gäbe also quasi gar keine unerwünschten Schwangerschaften, was selbstverständlich ein relativ feiges Wunschdenken meinerseits ist, um das schwierige Thema eines Abtreibungsverbot relativ reibungslos zu lösen. Wie man von der jetzigen Lage zu meiner Tramvorstellung gelangt ist natürlich ne offene Frage. Und tatsächlich finde ich die bestehende Regelung keinesfalls unerträglich. Und gerade wegen der fehlenden Unterstützung für gerade ärmere Mütter (und Paare mit Kindern allgemein) wäre es absolut nicht akzeptabel, Abtreibungen zu verbieten ohne irgendwas anderes zu ändern. Trotzdem finde ich, dass man aus prinzipientreuen Gründen gegen Abtreibung sein kann, ohne gleich Frauenfeindlich zu sein zu müssen.

If you assume the fetus as a person, abortion can be seen as self defense. If some rando came up to you and threatened to harm your body in the ways that pregnancy can, you could legally kill him if you can't get away otherwise. So why not a fetus? That said I think the law is good as it is and would not want to see "abortion deal of the month 300€" ads in women's magazines like you see in China.

A Zellhaufen is not lebensfähig, a 5-month-old fetus might be with current technology, an 8-month-old one for sure is. I don't think killing the possibility of a baby should have any moral quandaries attached, or we'll have to talk päpstlich about contraception methods. Of course the line is arbitrary as technology allows früher and früher Frühchen to live, but I think it's relatively easy to draw nonetheless: when it's unclear, let the pregnant woman decide.

Actually I just read the wiki article on Notwehr in my lunch break and now my head is ringing: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notwehr_(Deutschland) Not only because in one place it says the attack doesn't need to be schuldhaft for Notwehr to apply, but later it says Notwehrrecht does not apply if the attacker "erkennbar schuldlos handelt". Glad I'm not a Jurist.

It's interesting that we have this verniedlichte word for these children, "Frühchen". Feels like it was subconscoiusly , or conciously" invented to just put even more sympathy on these "brave little survivors". Abtreibungen will always be a thing, cause every contraception can fail, and sometimes you need the "pille danach" , und da wir schlicht nicht feststellen können wann ein Fötus eine Seele hat und dann nichtmehr "nur" ein Fötus ist, sollte Abtreibung liberal geregelt sein und nicht von konservativen alten Männern denen Kinderarmut, Kitaplätze oder Schulbildung an all ihren 9-Monate schwangeren, adipösen Ärschen vorbeigeht
