You know those cryptic tweets Marvel put out about Destroying the FF's history and question brought Parker back after Spider-Man no more and stuff? It's just a mini-series with Cosmic Ghost Rider written by...Paul Scheer? Sure, why not. https://www.cbr.com/cosmic-ghost-rider-marvel-history/

Maybe It'll be like the Rocksteady and Beebop Destroy Everything mini series, where they keep time traveling, loving things up, go back to kill their previous selves (because that's all they can come up with) to stop the time paradoxes, but gently caress that up, and it all ends with piles upon piles of dead Rocksteady and Beebops.

While those Marvel teasers did not serve as the harbinger of some dumb Dan Slott crossover, they have resulted in something, far, far worse: Mark "Give a Friendly Platform to Vox Day" Seifert's brutally dumb Marvel Declassified series is coming back.

It's good so far. But I liked his Captain America for an arc or two as well. This type book is more suited to what he does well though. The issue where Boomerang takes Peter to The Bar With No Name and he cleans up on Spider-Man trivia night is a great issue. Also Ottley was born to draw Spider-Man.

I may be grading on a curve on ASM. Slott left very small shoes to fill, and Spencer seems to mostly be doing repair work afterward, with a few legitimately clever plots and beats. He also seems to be playing things relatively carefully compared to his Sam Wilson run. The issue where Peter ends up out of costume at the Bar With No Name and cleans up at Spider-Man Trivia Night, as X-O says, is actually a genuinely entertaining story, although it's brought down slightly by Humberto Ramos on art.

Amazing is fine, there are no Nazis or any social commentary and Spencer’s lost boner isn’t getting in the way of the main plot yet.

I had forgotten until the new #1, but I'm really glad Miles' parents know about his powers. The whole "secret-identity angst" trope can be really over-played, but it did get me thinking, how many characters actually have secret identities anymore? Because I'm having a hard time thinking of any beyond a few street-level heroes, like Spider-Man(Men), Moon Knight, and Daredevil.
