Bruce in Batman vs Superman is extremely hosed up but not the fun kind of manic thrill hosed up Keaton is and more a very depressing and worrying hosed up. Who even gives a poo poo about Justice League (film) Bruce.

I loved all the practical effects and stunts in Amazing Spider-Man, if nothing else. The Raimi movies would've been much better if they'd done more of that. The early 2000s cgi is the worst part now.

I really loathe the Cersei character in Game of Thrones because she's so boring and one note. She's basically a way worse version of Atia from Rome. Atia is not only ruthless, but loyal to her family while also being really funny. Also Rome had way more potential than Game of Thrones. If only it had the same support from HBO.

I remember one of the Nite Owl autobiography chapters explaining how he had all these addictions, then when he was targeted by McCarthy he had a complete mental breakdown on top of it.

At least I like Michael Keaton though.

Ghaha that is pretty bad,i still remember spiderman 1 at the cinema like it was yesterday,the way the webs fired and thwipped still makes me giddy,and the heroic music,and i was tearing up at uncle bens last moments,great movie. Also macy gray lol.

Exact shot I was thinking of. Raimi couldn't manage a single shot of 1/4 of Spidy's body, from the back, barely even 'swinging' without it looking like trash. It's painfully obvious it's a dummy, and Kristen's not doing anything to sell the fact that she's supposed to be high in the air, not just a foot off the floor. Also, the 'wind' changes direction, based on her hair, even though it looks like she's supposed to be going in the same direction the whole time.

I think we have completely different ideas on what does or does not constitute a 'flaw' in a cheesy superhero movie directed by Evil Dead's Sam Raimi. That movie took the entire concept about as serious as one should. It's goofy. It's fun. It's for kids.

I like Raimi movies, but I'm not huge on his Spiderman movies. I think comparing Darkman to Spiderman isn't exactly fair. There was a 10 year gap between the movies, in which technology progressed a ton, and there was also a $110M difference between the budgets. The CGI in Spiderman should have looked better in my opinion. In addition, purposefully looking cheesy works for something like the DocOc attack, that was quintessential Raimi. With the Darkman clip you posted, it worked because the movie was channeling Looney Tunes pretty hard core. The swinging scene in Spiderman looking like crap just makes it look like crap.

They ain't the greatest, but they have some moments. And Larry Drake hamming it up in the second one. Arnold Vosloo couldn't bring the insanity like Neeson could though. There was also a half hour, unaired TV pilot that was a basic retelling of the movie. The four spin off novels were better in my opinion.

The fact Darkman 3 gets the DIE DARKMAN DIE treatment keeps it as a childhood favorite. R.E. alcoholic superheroes: I'm a little disappointed that Tony Stark doesn't have the alcoholic subplot but it's a Marvel movie so I doubt they'll breach that subject & go all Leaving Las Vegas with him. The Comedian in Watchmen is depicted as a drunk, which is in line with the comics.

re: Darkman sequels. Darkman III was filmed before Darkman II due to actor availability, then their release was postponed, because, having been originally earmarked to go direct to video, Universal was briefly considering releasing them to theaters.

Factually, Marisa Tomei's is the appropriate age for an Aunt to a High Schooler, not an 80 year old geriatric.

Aunt May is related by marriage, not blood. Ben was Peter's father's brother. All you gotta do is depict Ben an appropriate age for the 4 minutes of screentime he gets, and he was just into grannys. Boom, fixed.

I had a friend who's siblings were 20+ years older than him. His parents were in their 60s when he was in middle school. So one of his aunt's was 75 when he was a freshman. Stuff can get weird but having the actor be around 55 makes the most sense.

There are comics where Uncle Ben and Aunt May are shown adopting the toddler Peter and they look to be in their 60s, maybe edging into their 70s. Peter's parents are usually portrayed as being in their 30s when they disappeared, so Ben would be maybe 30 years older than his younger brother.
