I had to do a couple of Windows 7 reactivations at work recently, there's an automated web form for reactivations. If you call it'll prompt you to feed it a mobile phone number and they text you the above link.

In all likelihood, I'll be heading to Gdynia, Poland in a week or so for ship work. What's happenin' in the Gdansk area? e. God dammit I just found out Poland still uses złoty; I've got €50 that's been in my wallet for weeks now Safety Dance fucked around with this message at 06:31 on Jan 7, 2019 |

Well after 10 years of working with National Parks doing maintenance and upkeep, Ive taken the plunge on a new role starting in Feb. Im becoming the new Plantation Coordinator for the Cleland Wildlife Park (still in the same gov department) But it means i'll be responsible for mapping, assessing, upgrading, maintaining, harvesting and establishing all the plantations of gum trees that we feed the parks koalas. AND creating full management plans for things like waste product disposal, increasing yields, bushfire contingencies etc. Its gonna be a massive job and a huge change in direction for me, Handy little $10K a year pay rise too. Gonna miss some of the stuff I do now, and miss the guys I work with but im sick of being managed by someone who doesnt know what their doing and someone with a literal brain injury whos totally loving useless. Im gonna spend the rest of my life smelling like vaporub...

I got the corroded valve in the master bathroom to break free without actually breaking anything. Now we can finish the floor in there!

Have no fear, a corroded as gently caress 20 year old valve will start dumping out water from the stem after you are done all your upgrades!

The latest This Old Tony video keeps killing me with the mustard squirt sound effect he's using for when he oils a part for machining. I have no idea why I find it so funny, but it keeps catching me off guard while I half-rear end watch the video while working ("working").

WRX replacement update: The flatbed was supposed to take it away today. I'm still waiting. I watched some videos on MB W220s. I'm not thrilled about the air suspension, having replaced the bags on an e39 wagon recently for $$$. Then I did a deep dive into Chargers and their competitors. 2016 Camaro SS looks like a drat fine thing. I'm waffling about how much I want to spend though. Right now I have Carmax moving a 2013 MKS Ecoboost to my local lot for a test drive. In other news my dad wants to unload his 944S2 cabrio because it's got too much driveline noise. He tried like 5 used transaxles last year from Parts Heaven and is basically fed up. I've driven it on some twisties in its current state and it's fun as hell, but a bit noisy.

I once made four trips to Kroger in one day and still managed to not buy everything on the list. Menards is great though, they carry lots of the same brands as the other two and usually have lower prices and every other month they run the 11% rebate which just resulted in a $265 rebate check just off our November purchases.
