The higher degrees are presumably the ones that matter, especially if he has three of them. He may have been admitted to his graduate programs inadvertently, but he presumably did complete all the requirements for those advanced degrees, so there's no reason those should be revoked. And realistically, being just one course short of an undergraduate degree means you've completed nearly everything anyway.

I have no idea what his super-background-check job is going to say to him, but if there's space for reasonable judgment to be made, I think anyone would agree that the fact that you completed a Ph.D overrides your not quite finishing a BA back in the day.

When they circumcised me I guess they did a bad job or something because I had two peeholes, or there was a piece of skin over the hole so it was two streams- one aimable, one of chaos. I got caught pissing sitting down and had to explain why it was just simpler that way. Anyone, got tricked into the doctors' and they have me lay on the weird paper table in a gown and they numb the area and the nurse is doing some poo poo with clamps, she'd been really cool about the whole deal. Dude who I hadn't really met comes in and he's all "hey I'm dr. so and so, blah blah blah how are you doing?" and the nurse quips back "how do you think he's doing, he has clamps on his penis and is about to have surgery."

Sorry to backpost from a page 2 years ago but it seems it's the only time "hosed up dickhole surgery doctor sassed by nurse" anecdote will be remotely relevant to anything.

The question I'd be concerned about is whether he intentionally or inadvertently lied on his admission applications for his post-degree programs and whether that renders the issued degree revocable for academic misconduct/dishonesty.

Yeah, nobody cares if he was honest with the school and they accepted him, the unanswered question is, was he? In my experience in applying to post degree programs, they all ask you to input your undergrad degree, school, etc, then ask you to certify that everything you input was correct, then they give you very stern warnings about lying.

Edit: It seems to me that he is worried because he has been deliberately misrepresenting his undergrad degree as complete where schools required an undergrad degree and hoping they didn't notice. Could be wrong though.

Depends on if its a core class he's missing, I imagine. Otherwise it's more trouble than its worth to kick him out just for lying, I'd imagine. I'll ask if he ever lied by omission

To be fair, people usually don't look for proof of high school graduation at all. It's reasonable to be more concerned that someone might notice a lack of undergrad degree.

My cousin (26m) and his wife (27f), both have autism and are pregnant. How can I help?

Hello,

Over the last couple days I have found out that my cousin who is 26 with autism got his 27 year old wife pregnant. They are capable of socializing and aren’t that severe of cases, but they have both been diagnosed and are severe enough cases where I (and my family) are worried for their future child.

They don’t really seem to understand basic self care, let alone how to care for another human. My grandma has done a lot for them in showing them how to be productive members in society. But sometimes, things just don’t seem to click with them. For example, she has made comments previously about how when she has kids she will spoil them and give them soda in their bottles. (I could list more examples but you get the gist)

They have been trying to get pregnant for awhile now, I guess. They go through jobs quite quickly, have no health insurance, and have a one bedroom apartment with three cats, which they don’t keep clean. (They’re kind of just gross in general) They’re very loving people, but to the extent that they put themselves in harms way occasionally. For example, last year they picked up two hitchhikers and let them live with them until one of my family members intervened.

My uncle is really excited and so is my grandmother, but I’m sure it’s going to end up being them that take care of the child. I know this isn’t my responsibility, but I do worry. I feel like the child will end up being taken away by the state because I don’t think they are mentally capable enough to take care of a child. This is coming from someone who very much advocates for disability rights and I’m currently in school for disability studies.

I want to approach the situation lightly, I want to believe they can do it and support them, but I don’t want it to become my responsibility either. I was thinking about buying them some parenting books, but I’m not sure they’ll even read them. She just messaged me asking if I was excited for them and I haven’t responded yet because I honestly don’t know what to say. I plan on suggesting a parenting class and saying how much I learned from my early childhood intervention/psychology courses. (I’m also a nanny and have taken some Red Cross classes for advanced childcare) They live two hours from me, in the middle of nowhere. I tried to find parenting classes in the area to possibly pay for for them to go to, but didn’t find anything. I’m considering even just giving them the Red Cross Advanced Childcare training and a book as a “congratulations” gift.

I’m just not sure what to do. I don’t want to diminish their happiness or show that I’m not supportive, but I really don’t think them having this baby is a good idea.

Does anyone have any advice?

Tl;dr - my cousin and his wife who both have autism just found out they’re pregnant and have been trying for awhile. Is there anything I should do or say to help them prepare, without overstepping my boundaries I have with my family?

At this point you're just being petulant. Your butt has some microscopic amounts of poop on it even if you use baby wipes, and even if you use a bidet. And if you know how to wipe properly then yes your butt will have microscopic amounts of poop on it then, too.
