Vince has enabled, caused or looked the other way for a lot of these other monsters - on top of his own horribleness.

Yeah, I'm not really sure how I don't vote Vince every time. Almost every sin of everyone else was condoned, enabled, covered up, encouraged, or overlooked by Vince along with a laundry list of his own sins.

It's gotta be Vince. There are a lot of very lovely people, but he's not only very lovely himself, but enabled many of them and created the conditions and culture that led to them being such horrible monsters. He's had the power to change things countless times for the better and never does. If WWE was any other company in the world, his head would roll for dozens of the entries on the NY64.

What are the qualifications?
I mean guys like Vader and Cornette can be assholes and hard to work with, but they don't deserve to keep company with rapists, murderers, child molesters, and they certainly weren't pure assholes on the level of HBK or HHH.

Anyway, some glaring omissions from that list

"Grizzly" Aurelian Smith (was employed as an Agent for WWF during the 80's, so fits the timeline)--Raped and impregnated his daughter-in-law and then raped and abused the children she had with him.

"Rock n' Roll" Buck Zumhofe--Raped his daughter for a period of over 12 years

Mae Young--While not as guilty of the crimes of Moolah, she aided and abetted her as an "enforcer"

Jacques Rougeau--Guilty of sexually harassing and fondling female trainees at his school

Ed Ferrara--Responsible for many of the most tasteless, misogynistic, and reviled segments of the Attitude Era such as Beaver Cleavage and Terri Runnels' miscarriage

Davey Boy Smith--Notorious bully when teamed with Dynamite Kid...later cooled off but became a crackhead who anally raped his wife

Jim Neidhart--Same as above, except he never cooled off and actually got worse

Rick Steiner--Bully and notorious shithead...albeit most of his worst offenses were in late WCW so that falls outside of the WWF scope

When I was 17, my father was so stupid, I didn't want to be seen with him in public. When I was 24, I was amazed at how much the old man had learned in just 7 years.
I'd nominate Kurt Angle but yeah almost his entire rough period took place in TNA. Although I guess I also don't super care about drug stuff.

E: Marty Jannety's extremely skeezy, but I don't feel like some of the worst parts are my story to break, and it also happened post WWE

I'm curious about Sean O'Haire, Scott Steiner (though I know that he was a massive bully even back then), Vader (was he the same?), and Max Landis (John's son?).

The rest, I think I know why they might be nominated. What a bunch.

Grizzly Smith and Buck weren't on the list because I didn't think either fit the 1 year qualification. I'm checking both this weekend since they obviously fit.

Mae has been added, had actually never heard that about Jacques, forgot about Ed.

Davey will be added, I haven't heard details on Jim other than his later life misadventures but I have no problem adding them.

Rick will be added to.

For the Scott Steiner question basically he has assaulted a bunch of people and menaced Hulk Hogan's girlfriend during Mania weekend.

Max Landis has been accused of sexual assault.

Legit can't believe I forgot Ludvig Borga.

Arguably no, but the reason he got WWE's attention is because of a youtube video/short film called "Wrestling Isn't Westling" which attempted to explain the appeal of wrestling while simultaneously recapping Triple H's career. It got some buzz in wrestling circles and WWE took enough notice to give him the creative consultant gig, but apparently they never used any of his ideas.

Other than that, he's better known for his social media activity than anything he's written. He's posted some fantasy booking ideas on twitter or reddit, usually nothing special but some people went nuts for it because he's a "famous writer." He did write recent netflix movie Bright, which was critically panned but got a ton of viewers, though I think the credit goes to it starring Will Smith.

I guess what I'm getting at is does the context of Japan's Blaise attitude to Nazi imagery factor in and weigh this down?

If we're insistent on this then you need to add Zahra Schreiber and everyone other racist that ever worked for the company and that's a long loving list.

Ah yeah maybe. My bad.

Are we really adding people for being stiff when we already have Bob Holly? Like, the guy is a benchmark for hurting people deliberately in the ring. That seems....I don't know. If we're already at that point maybe we do 32 instead of 64?
