Yes.
I don't care for Devin Townsend either, but loving lmao if your tender metal sensibilities are so fragile that they get offended by a few occasional posts about him in this thread.

Forteresse is great. I really loved the rehearsal demo they put out two years ago. It was even better to hear live.

To be fair I hate that poo poo and Devin Townsend is one of my favorite musicians. He does that stuff well in his own way and it’s only like 10% of his output. It’s more like a weird old school low budget sci-fi dork kind of thing.

Dolorvotre is all about drugs. Some atmospheric bm artists take influence from psychedelic rock (Paysage d’Hiver a bit, Arkhtinn, Forest of Stars) and there’s plenty of psychedelic rock artists that go the other way too (Aluk Todolo, Menace Ruine, Oranssi Pazuzu).

So who’s the trippiest black metal band sound wise? Lyrics about drugs are one thing but do any of them actually sound mind bendingly psychedelic?

Black metal's drugs of choice seem to have been heroin in the 2000s (Blake, lol) and psychedelics now.

Non-American atmospheric black metal is 95% (crypto-)fascist :can:

Anyway, Skáphe comes to mind, but in that case it's probably more ketamine than weed. The advanced search on the Metal Archives yielded the following:

https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Dragonauta/17649 Genre: Psychedelic Stoner/Doom Metal (early), Progressive Black Metal (later) Lyrical themes: Religion, Satan, Cannabis :ok:
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Tetragrammaton/3540365330 Location: Miami, Florida
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Opera_Macabra/3540391792 Lyrical themes: Philosophy, Existency, Weed, Feelings. From Guatemala City, baby!

Lyrical themes: "Drugs" yields 130 hits, here's just one at random that I found funny https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Alcoholism/3540326304 because it's me irl

Vediog Svaor sounded pretty convincingly psychedelic(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBix2HruvI4), and there's stuff like Ved Buens Ende as well. there's a few 'weird' bands that have a kind of druggy feel to them, like some Lugubrum stuff for example.

Yo whoever posted October Tide recently is a loving legend. It’s giving me some Opeth/Warning (not sure why the latter but I won’t overthink it) vibes that I never knew I needed in this way. The production is so good on Rain Without End.

Main riff in 12 Days of Rain is amazing.

'Of Wounds To Come' just started playing on my Spotify discover as I read this post. I get a major November's Doom sound (older when the sound was a bit more stripped down) and it's pretty good!
