Jesus Christ. For some godawful inexplicable reason I’m watching Polar right now and this is pretty much the worst movie I’ve ever seen. Exploitative doesn’t even begin to cover it. Honestly I’m feeling sorry for Mads Mikkelsen, because this he really doesn’t deserve this.

I tried to watch it recently having never seen any of the major superhero movies and it was like watching something in a foreign language, and all you can pick up on is that its garbage. I just watched Jason Goes to Hell on Netflix and it was better than infinity war, even though Jason never went to hell, which I'll admit disappointed me ed: also, interestingly, Amazon now has a bunch of movies that are free with ads under rent or buy but the selection seems poor

Farenheit 11/9 is on Prime. I definitely have issues with Michael Moore but it's a really good one from him.

It's.... like.... amazingly bad. Like a movie made by an AI that only watched Smokin' Aces and John Wick -- two very different films -- and was not able to reproduce any of the aspects of what made those films engaging. Down to the adopted dog getting murdered... by the protagonist. edit: for the record, i made it about 20 minutes before stopping. I started watching Sex Education and agree with everyone else that it’s quite enjoyable. I’m only two episodes in so far. Gillian Anderson is so fantastic and is absolutely a sexy witch. Adam is one of my favorite “dumb teenage boy” characters so far. Kind of reminds me of Dylan from American Vandal. My favorite decoration is the corn picture. Also, Otis is such an unpleasant name, but it seems weirdly appropriate for the main character at the same time.

At least the movie has the only smart nameless henchmen in the history of the "hosed With The Wrong Man" action genre. They really want to make it into a franchise too, with at least 2 different sequel hook options before the end offering.

Literally the only thing I enjoyed about the movie was the colored lighting of the villain's castle. Because it reminded me of Punisher: War Zone

I had no interest in watching Polar, but the universally horrendous reviews have piqued my interest somewhat. I'm curious about how bad it could possibly be if people that like John Wick think it's terrible.

Fahrenheit 11/9 is a different movie from Fahrenheit 9/11. I think 9/11 is the last Michael Moore I saw, which was probably like 15 years ago. I liked it at the time but I was also 13. I don’t have much of an opinion on him but I’ll probably check it out since it’s available.

Nah, 11/9 refers to November 9, which is when it was announced Trump won the election. So Moore’s still firmly in the month/day camp, which is obviously the only correct way of writing it of course.

I still believe that the Accountant is in the same universe, and does the Continental Hotel's taxes. EDIT: also my cousin is a psychiatrist/family therapist that exclusively works with the autistic, and murdery skills aside, he said Affleck's performance was spot on to a lot of the high-functionals he's worked with. I was very disappointed in Hereditary. The last 15 minutes turned into an evil dead style looney tunes cartoon while the last minute literally has a character explain the plot of the movie. I was on board for the main twist. Collette and Byrne were great as grieving parents. Still, it was too plodding overall and that ending designed to make up for it totally lost me.
