I will be interested to see how it goes, because Ted Wheeler seems like a uniquely lovely mayor. A more decisive leader would have cracked down on Gibson's goons or, more likely, arrested prosecuted some of both them and Portland's large anarchist community. Not so much giving them undue credit as just taking them at face value. They want a space where they can be openly fascist.
