is there a way to make firefox's tabs shrink down to tiny dots like chrome's do when you have 100 of them? i like everything about firefox except that stupid loving tab bar that requires you to scroll horizontally if you have more than 10 tabs or whatever. nothing should ever scroll horizontally.

Chome capitulated for now: https://www.zdnet.com/article/google-backtracks-on-chrome-modifications-that-would-have-crippled-ad-blockers/quote:Their study --which analyzed the network performance of ad blockers such as uBlock Origin, Adblock Plus, Brave, DuckDuckGo and Cliqz'z Ghostery-- found sub-millisecond median decision times per request, showing quite the opposite of what the Chrome team claimed.

I use 30 and still have to scroll once in a while, but its a shitload better than the default.

i only have like 12 tabs open right now but i discovered another thing i can't stand about firefox, which is that it doesn't do smooth touchscreen zooming the way chrome does. i also need that feature. oh well. ironically, edge does p much everything i want except having an imgur upload extension but edge is like...ew. that blue e logo. gross

i'm using a thinkpad that flips backwards because i draw things with it. i need the smooth zoom because i have to zoom in on things on the screen when teaching. anyway you can just do the pinch zoom gesture on the touchpad and it does the same smooth zooming in chrome and edge. firefox's version is extremely laggy and choppy. it's poo poo

Metal is a terrible material for a laptop. It's not pleasant to touch, it gets cold or hot easily and it dents or bends really easily.

The unit I have been blessed with visibly bends when typing on, and recently when trying to use as an actual laptop also bends its base causing the trackpad to disconnect, lol.

It means this probably isn't a regular problem this laptop model has, but symptom of a bigger underlying problem. A bit of flex is 100% normal with plastic cases.
