It's probably right to up the price of AUG somewhat, but I hope they don't overdo it. People are crying a lot about things becoming too CT sided, personally I think CS is best when CT side has an advantage on pretty much every map. Right now I feel like the economy system is extremely feel-bad on CT side. It's way too punishing to lose rounds early as CT. The pressure on teams should always be to have organised executes for T side. The default should be, all things equal, T side the side making the plays to win rounds because they have the economy to soak up lost rounds. The game has absolutely swung from being 60/40 CT sided to being 50/50, if not more T sided than CT sided. AUG only seems particularly problematic to me on maps with long sightlines. So far this major is nowhere near as CT sided as any major from 2014 for example.

I think it is a few things: The cost is an issue. I think 200 is too much because at that point you need to factor buying a n M4 + flash or Aug. Adding 100 or even 150 would let people spend that little extra and feel like it adds to utility. Same with SG. I think one of the bigger reasons the AUG is so popular, besides the price, isnt the scope as it is the accuracy. The AUG is one of the most accurate weapons in the game, and is very suited to CTs, who need to watch lanes passively. The recoil is forgiving and mimics the M4 a bit. So why isnt the SG making the same waves? I think 2 reasons. Recoil and damage. The SG does less damage against unarmored enemies than an AK. While most of the rounds you will be wearing armor, sometimes you cant. How many eco rounds have we seen that were won with no armor? Sometimes, that extra bullet costs you. The recoil is the worst bit. Incredibly unforgiving and jumps right after the 3 bullet. The soray will take some getting used to as it is radically different than the AK. If there was some similarity, I think the transition would have happened. However, AK spray has been unchanged for as long as I remember. AK has always been dominate and accurate. SG is more accurate than AK but that recoil and higher fire rate makes it harder to control. Again, adding 150 to the price would be reasonable because the SG will own bones once people get used to it.

The SG makes you alot slower when peeking which is a real disadvantage as T. The SG ending up in CT hands is a lot worse than a AUG ending up in T hands, they probably just want their AK anyway.
