Yeah. The Rambo movies are kinda weird. There's definitely "musclebound badass spitting bullets and making people explode with the bullets" to be had, but there's actual subtext to everything going on that you can get if you pay attention. It's not Citizen Kane, but there is a message.

Drive got it right, when Oscar Isaac gets shot in the neck earlyish on. That's the closest I've seen to the real deal, and it makes that movie harder to watch nowadays than I'd like.
