They would not tell me the contents of the email, or if it was even sent by me (they mentioned a third kid's email, which I did not understand, but I'll get to that later). so you can imagine it would be very hard to answer any questions with the pure speculation I had. I had to word everything around what they were giving me.

This one dean repeatedly asked me if I deleted any emails to which I said "no" repeatedly. The cops tried intimidating me and thought I was covering up for someone, which I still didn't understand because I didn't know the specifics of what happened by now. They said they'd have an I.T guy look at the logs to see if I deleted any emails.

The deans said that the other kid said that I knew about the email that was sent (like, he jokingly told me or something) and deleted it quickly, but this is not true. I don't know why he made this up, or how it benefits him in any way, but its not true, I only saw him and a few others giggling in the back of class and checked my sent folder, which was empty besides a few things from years ago.

Apparently the email that he sent was from the third kid's account, to my account, not from. It was in reference to a "bomb detonation". This is why they thought I deleted it. What I think is that the kid who sent the emails was nervous and logged into my account to delete the email himself. The deans did not understand me at all when I told them this.

The cops took me out in cuffs and to the holding cell for 3 hours. I was scared shitless. I plead the fifth at the station when they wanted an interview (which I should have done at school but I was not aware it would come to this), and the cop who arrested me informed me I would be going to "Joliet" (a scare tactic, I honestly forgot that Joliet Jail closed in 2002). After 3 hours in the holding cell they took me out to get fingerprinted , my mugshot taken, and told me my charges. They only then informed me that my parents were waiting for me to take me out of there, and paid the $120 bond.

So my charge is Disorderly Conduct. I have a court date on the 9th of April. I'm not sure if it is felony Disorderly Conduct or what, as it does not specify on the bail/bond sheet.

I don't understand how, if I did (allegedly) delete an email, would be "disorderly conduct". I'd assume it would be a more serious charge, related to covering up for a bomb threat.

Did they not have evidence and just had to slap whatever charge they could on me? Will this be an open and shut case?

edit: by the way, i'm suspended for 8 days.

edit: Also, the chromebooks are not individually assigned. We grab them randomly.
