My honest best guess is that he did something dumb and bad and the CPD did something infinitely worse and extremely loving lovely as per usual and that's why the case is sealed.

Also that piece of ""evidence"" never made sense, because why would they need to buy MAGA hats if the attack was made-up in the first place and they weren't videoing it.

I have no idea. It could have been someone else, or they could have attacked him for their own reasons and he's still a victim, the only thing we do know is all the evidence implicating him is fake. Maybe he even did it and there's secret evidence we haven't seen but I think just assuming that must be the case because the cops want him to be guilty isn't reasonable at this point. Could change with more information.

I think the cops buying the hotel rooms of their only witnesses who just happened to give the exact testimony the CPD wanted at the 47th hour, and zero evidence to back it up, is inherently shady when there's no security risk.
