If I had to guess this was behavior the mother had pulled many times before but that he would never accept hearing about even though he knew it must be true. "Mother would never do anything to harm me, mother just wants to protect me". She should absolutley look at pressing charges though. It'd probably be a hard thing to prove at this point though. What she should have done was bring a baggie, put some food in it, and have it tested for poisons. Although admittedly I have no idea how one would go about that.

Makeup tattoos are totally acceptable unless they're tragic. Other face tattoos are dumb but it won't DESTROY HER FUTURE, worst-case she has to use a little concealer on workdays

AITA for not wanting to raise my step daughter( who hates me) after the death of my husband. Hey guys, this might sound awful but please read. I've not decided anything yet, just looking for some perspective. My husband and I got married two years ago. I have a daughter from a previous marriage and so does he. Let's call her Sarah. Sarah is 8. Idk why but Sarah hates me. I've tried to work it out with her but we were completely incompatible. So, we decided it was better if I didn't make any decisions for her. A couple of months ago, my husband died in an accident. It was a hard time for everyone. Sarah's mom is no more. She has her grandparents who, don't want her. So, I'm her guardian now. But it's been so difficult for me. She hates me. Calls me names. Throws things around the house and always gets into fights with my daughter (4yo). She pulls my daughter's hair, throws away her toys etc. I know that she's grieving but I'm really fed up and can't take her anymore. I'm thinking of giving her up to a foster home. Idk why, but she also reminds me of my husband. I've tried everything including therapy, but I'm unable to make any progress with her. But when I told her that I won't be putting up with her anymore she started crying and hugging me. I really thought I was an rear end for trying to give her up. But after that, it's just back to square one. AITA for wanting to give her up? Edit: I can't afford therapy guys. I don't make that much. I think she would benefit from someone with resources.
